Wasting time on landscape logos when what the iPad needs is significant improvement in the OS and general functionality…

Yes. Turns out that the entire team of software engineers responsible for the OS is, instead, working on a way to rotate the logo. So far their plan is to have one guy hold the ipad, and another guy hold the logo, and then all of the rest of them rotate that second guy’s chair. They almost have it figured out.

Man, this would be great. Combine this landscape mode stuff with your other article about Apple possibly developing bigger iPad Pros and I’d be in heaven. A 16-inch iPad Pro with the camera, USB plug-in and logo in landscape mode and it’d be my dream iPad.

I can see this for the Pro models only, M2 chips and landscape for workers would make it a real surface rival.

Air and mini for media consumption and games.
I'd love either apple or samsung destroy the surface lineup, I was deeply disappointed when i got one..

Apple is like... that 1970s guy, trying to be cool, past his prime a tad, and coming "fashionably late" to a party.
ie Annoying and aloof.

They should have done these changes about 4 years ago:

1) Made the file system for the iPad Pro reach out to external disks and drag and drop, etc., like the laptops
2) Enlarged the screen for artists on a special "pro" edition; 14-16" would be nice
3) Made it into an actual laptop killer and just simplified their line up. The complex product line ups kill enthusiasms in the long run. Jobs knew it and fought for simplicity in product parade. You can see how it helps In-n-Out Burger and Chik-Fil-A in the fast-food market. Cook's Apple likes a larger, confusing, catalog--a mistake. iPads should become the non-Macbook Pro laptops already.
Just kill off the Macbook Air and replace it with a iPad Pro running MacOS with a boot camp option for iOS

its needed for sure. FaceTime calls look weird. All keyboard thats the iPads use are in landscape, most apps work and look better in landscape, all media is landscape.
Its a no brainer.
"All media" think about phones and their crappy snapchat and instagram world melters
