Nah, too early probably. Just my opinion though obviously... we might get a new Studio Display, but I'd imagine the chances of a new Pro Display XDR are higher than those of a new Studio Display.
… makes sense. A new Mac Pro to go with a new Pro Display XDR.

Why can't they just announce the Mac Pro already! It's been too long!

Apple may be planning to release the ASi Mac Pro with the M3 Ultra & M3 Extreme SoCs, so that might push it out to WWDC 2023 at the earliest...?

I'm somewhat doubtful they will, I suspect the sales don't justify the effort.

If that were the case they would have quietly killed off the 2019 Intel Mac Pro awhile back...

If Apple wanted to raise eyebrows they should show off the Modular Mac Pro by April.

What would make it Modular...?

ASi Mac Pro to include M2 ultra and M2 extreme, also support for discreet DIMM only server grade DDR5L ECC, also to support new apple compute accelerator based on recycled m1 Max and M2 max and AMD CDNA3 based GPUd.
Also macOS having an new trick: compute instance mode actually booting a minimal iOS granting the hardware compute capabilities to its master system, kinda ultra target mode but not storage also CPU and GPU being borrowed to the master system.

No to virtually all of that...

ASi Mac Pro should debut with the M3 Ultra & 3 Extreme SoCs...

No DIMM slots, 384GB of LPDDR5 SDRAM should be enough for nearly all Mac Pro users; the 1.5TB capacity of the 7,1 Mac Pro was a by-product of the server-grade CPU Apple used...

It is also possible Apple uses LPDDR5X SDRAM for the ASi Mac Pro, which could theoretically scale to 1TB, but would not be ECC...?

If these rumored ComputeModules are any sort of add-in card for the ASi Mac Pro, I would expect them to be (GP)GPUs, designed for "remote" compute/render tasks with no display output...

I wonder if there will be two tier chip options offered in the AS Mac Pro, but since the “Extreme” isn’t ready (according to rumors), Apple will release the Mac Pro first with a higher clocked Ultra and an announcement that the Extreme option is coming soon (which will be much more expensive).

Just looking at the Mac Studio line-up (Mn Ultra powered Mac Studio twice as expensive as the Mn Max powered Mac Studio) tells us that a Mn Extreme Mac Pro is likely to be twice the cost of a Mn Ultra Mac Pro...

TSMC is shipping 3nm now. MP will have the M3.

This is my thought, and why I could see the reveal of the M3 Ultra & M3 Extreme powered ASi Mac Pro being pushed to WWDC 2023...

… makes sense. A new Mac Pro to go with a new Pro Display XDR.

A new Pro Display XDR would most likely be a 40"+ 8K display, which would be "stupid expensive" (with the current 32" 6K model being "silly expensive")...

No unless it's postponed into 2024.

Apple not using in current silicon Mac discreet memory modules is not an design limitation, nor a constrain in order to reach more perform, everything needed to support DDR5 ram is include in m2 max IP particularly CLX2, notion on Apple didn't did that so it won't do that, it the same as drive an lorry at a highway only watching the way behind using the mirrors (fyi it's long discussion at ASi Mac and Mac Pro sections).

It is also possible Apple uses LPDDR5X SDRAM for the ASi Mac Pro, which could theoretically scale to 1TB, but would not be ECC...?
ECC is mandatory unless Apple wants it's Mac pro to be the ashamed fake-workstation every Apple hater desires.

Also ECC support it's among what's introduce CLX2 also bus portability.

Hint the whispering part is at m2 max cache complex.

Also I bring you an curiosity, M2 extreme won't be a mosaic-like 4 tile arrangement, but will resemble more a 4 dominoes vertically arranged split by an UltraFusion bridge at each end ( m2 max has two UltraFusion one at each end), DIMM modules to be installed at each SOC side like on the MBP m2 Max but instead soldered will use discreet faster DDR5 with full ECC support, an caveats is Said DDR5 modules to be very picky even maybe Apple-locked.

Excited for new Apple Watch band colors!
Can’t wait! I own all 3 Apple Ocean Watch bands. Desperately waiting for the new colors as the old ones are getting dirty and looking a little rugged now.

Hopefully Product Red or Orange (Vitamin C) makes it to the line up.

Do you all think the 15" Air will support two external displays, i.e. Thunderbolt 4?

The calendar has turned to March and Apple is rumored to have at least three product announcements planned between now and the end of April, including a 15-inch MacBook Air, a new Mac Pro tower, and a new iPhone 14 color option.

Below, we have recapped what to expect from Apple this March and April based on rumors. This story was originally published in February and has been updated with new information based on the latest rumors and reporting.

15" MacBook Air

MacBook-Air-Multiple-Sizes-Feature.jpg

Apple's supply chain started production of display panels for a new 15.5-inch MacBook Air in February, according to display industry analyst Ross Young, who has a very good track record with rumors about future Apple products over the past few years.

Young expects the new MacBook Air to launch in early April, but an announcement and pre-orders could certainly take place sooner. Apple often announces new products in March at an event or with press releases on the Apple Newsroom website, but it did hold an April event in 2021 to introduce a new iMac, iPad Pro, Apple TV, and the AirTag, along with a new Purple color option for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini.

A new 15-inch display size option would be the largest ever for the MacBook Air. The current MacBook Air has a 13.6-inch display, and the laptop was offered in an 11-inch size many years ago. The new MacBook Air is still expected to be equipped with an LCD panel, as the first model with an OLED display is not expected to launch until 2024.

Like the 13-inch MacBook Air, the 15-inch model will reportedly be available with the M2 chip. Apple says the M2 chip has up to an 18% faster CPU, up to a 35% faster GPU, and up to a 40% faster Neural Engine compared to the M1 chip.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo last year claimed that a 15-inch MacBook with M2 and M2 Pro chip options would be released in the second quarter of 2023 or later. Interestingly, Kuo said this MacBook might not have Air branding. On a purely speculative basis, it is possible that Apple could release a 15-inch MacBook that is positioned between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, but Apple's plans remain to be seen.

New Mac Pro

Mac-Pro-Feature-Teal.jpg

The next Mac Pro will be available with Apple's upcoming M2 Ultra chip, which would make it the fastest Mac ever, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. He expects the new Mac Pro to have the same design as the 2019 model, but lack user-upgradeable RAM. A higher-end "M2 Extreme" chip for the computer was apparently cancelled.

In January, Gurman said Apple was internally testing a new Mac Pro running macOS 13.3, which will be publicly released this spring, according to Apple. Given this, it is possible that Apple could release both the Mac Pro and macOS 13.3 around March or April, but there is still no definitive timeframe for the computer's release this year, so there remains a chance that the new Mac Pro is announced at WWDC 2023 in June or later in the year.

New iPhone Color

iPhone14-Yellow-Mock-3.jpg

Apple often releases at least one new iPhone color in March or April, and a recent rumor suggests that tradition could continue this year.

Apple plans to make the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus available in Yellow this spring, according to a Weibo post shared by Japanese blog Mac Otakara. Apple last offered a Yellow color option for the iPhone 11 in 2019 and the iPhone XR in 2018. It's unclear if Apple plans to release a new color for the iPhone 14 Pro models.

At its March 2022 event, Apple introduced a new Alpine Green color for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, and a new Green color for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. In April 2021, Apple made the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini available in Purple.

In earlier years, Apple released a new (PRODUCT)RED color for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 series.

Apple will annouce the new Mac Pro with an estimate shipping in about one year that will get delayed.

Apples is still trying workout the tech for expansion slots for GPU and maybe for secondary RAM. Without expansion slots or secondary RAM it just a Mac Studio that OD's on HGH.

No unless it's postponed into 2024.

3nm wafers have been in production for two months now...

...M2 extreme won't be a mosaic-like 4 tile arrangement, but will resemble more a 4 dominoes vertically arranged split by an UltraFusion bridge at each end ( m2 max has two UltraFusion one at each end)...

Where is the info that tells us there are two UF connectors on the M2 Max SoCs...?

And this would leave an unused UltraFusion bridge on each end of the the domino chain, and no place for I/O...?

DIMM modules to be installed at each SOC side like on the MBP m2 Max but instead soldered will use discreet faster DDR5 with full ECC support, an caveats is Said DDR5 modules to be very picky even maybe Apple-locked.

Who knows, maybe Apple has ECC LPDDR5X being custom made for them...?

MB Air 15.5“ would be GGRRRRREAT!

However the suddenness of this Mac Rumor keeps me skeptical…

If it is named the 15-inch MacBook Air, then to me that means the M3 chip isn't coming until like March-June 2024. That would be disappointing!
That would be logical, can't expect Apple to be selling year old M1 Ultra Studios, at the same time selling much more recent M2 Pro/Max MBPs, and shortly in the future selling a M3 MBA. Do we think Apple has a Genie in a lamp granting wishes? :D
