Pros only get new colors at launch. not mid cycle.
We got Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max last year. (Done via press release March 8, 2022)

Also I bring you an curiosity, M2 extreme won't be a mosaic-like 4 tile arrangement, but will resemble more a 4 dominoes vertically arranged split by an UltraFusion bridge at each end ( m2 max has two UltraFusion one at each end), DIMM modules to be installed at each SOC side like on the MBP m2 Max but instead soldered will use discreet faster DDR5 with full ECC support, an caveats is Said DDR5 modules to be very picky even maybe Apple-locked.

$1399 15” M2 MacBook Air baseline specs, or Apple is greedy and obnoxious.
$1399 is also what I'd guess: The base 13" M2 Air is $1199, and the difference in price between the 14" and 16" MBP's (equally-spec'd) is $200, so it seems reasonable to expect the same delta between the 13" & 15" Air => $1399. [Unless the 15" Air uses M3....]

Do you all think the 15" Air will support two external displays, i.e. Thunderbolt 4?
I'd guess no, since it's probably going to have the same M2 SoC as the 13" Air, which is limited to one external. Even if it's released with an M3, Apple seems to have made a product segmentation decision to limit the base M# chips to two displays (which means one external on the Air).

Nah, a new 15" is not tempting me.
But I would like to get more information of the possibility of a coming 12" MacBook. It would tempt me to prematurely buy a new portable sooner then expected.

I would not be too excited about the Mac Pro. It may be the fastest Mac ever when it is announced, but it will be heavily overpriced compared to the Mac Studio and not as expandable as Intel workstations.

The Soc concept has some benefits, but the lack of expandability is not very Pro. How great would it be if heavy users could make the system multiple times faster by just installing multiple Socs that would work together. At an Intel system some workstations have two CPUs and sometimes three or four graphics cards that work together. Maximum RAM is up to 3TB. It seems that "pro" users for Apple are just videos creators.

My prediction is that the Mac Pro might be twice as fast as a maxed out Mac Studio, but four times as expensive.
Apple might even choose not to update the Mac Studio any more in order not to cannibalize the Mac Pro.

combat green. a fitting color choice for our troubled times…

that yellow could be a nice bold alternative…but needs to be a strong solid color…not a wishy washy p** yellow.
100% agree. It was satisfying! I hope it comes in iPhone Pro Line up, not just a regular low-cost regular iPhone.

If that previous rumor about the red/burgundy iPhone 15 Pro is legit, it'll definitely be a Day 1 purchase for me. I've been wanting a Product(RED) Pro/Pro Max for ages. I might even be willing to go without a case.

...though the urine yellow is amusing enough to consider.

I’m so psyched to get the 15 inch air/mac, but having it come out with a M2 so close to the release of the m3 is kind of a bummer. As much as I want it as soon as it releases, I think I’ll try to hold off until they update it with the M3.

Yeah, the 1 external limitation is really unfortunate. I’d much rather have a two monitor setup :-/

Will is be made to be more compatible with that Urine Analyzing accessory?
I think you’re referring to the U-WeeWee Pro Max by Withings:

Goes perfectly with the new Slightly Dehydrated Yellow iPhones 14!😆

Side note -Hilarious how they copied Apple’s product feature sheets 1/1, as if this overpriced toilet rim block is equivalent to a new MacBook or iPhone. 🥹

Can’t wait! I own all 3 Apple Ocean Watch bands. Desperately waiting for the new colors as the old ones are getting dirty and looking a little rugged now.

Hopefully Product Red or Orange (Vitamin C) makes it to the line up.

I think an ocean band / sport band style in orange would look amazing on the Ultra. I cannot find my old clementine sport band and I’m gutted - I think that shade would match the titanium of the Ultra really well.

As all rumors are pointing in this direction, I, sadly, think this is completely accurate.

And thus my GPU needs are probably met in some custom PC and at a much, much better price.

Yes, the PC will use so much more power. But I’d gladly take a power hog of a Apple Silicon Mac Pro if it’s expandable or just comes with a ton of GPU power in at least the most expensive configuration, GPU power at a decent value/dollar.

I never expected to be as impressed by Apple’s silicon as I am and yet not finding one Mac that fits my needs.

Waiting for these Apple Silicon Mac Pros brings me back in the mindset that always bothered me back in the Intel days, of being willingly and happily trapped in the Apple ecosystem, loving the OS and integration with all the accessories and the great apps. But anlso always waiting for worthwhile upgrades for years on end that almost never came.

I’ll be crossing my fingers that we’re all wrong and that the new Mac Pro is a huge surprise, something very different than all the Apple Silicon Macs we’ve seen so far. Not expecting it though.🤞😕

If an extreme chip comes out it’ll show Gurman doesn’t have decent sources at TSMC.
Does feel like the cancellation of Extreme chip may have been the wrong end of the stick - as Apple basically cancelled on TSMC doing 3nm earlier last year.
may be giving the wrong reasons for it if Extreme doesn’t happen - eg if it was planned for 3nm, but they had to keep 5nm around for M2 Ultra then yes likely you’d be looking at thermal issues if you’d planned for 3nm?
Apple has been at the cutting edge in some regards with their silicon, and they do use expensive chip fabrication methods and expensive ways of making their chips - so it’s exciting we’re so close to some news on the Mac Pro.
