The iPhone doesn’t need to go any thinner, it needs a bigger battery
I'm always hoping they go to iPhone (5.4/6.1) and iPhone Pro (6.1/6.7), ditch the numbers and weird car manufacturer add-on letters (S/X/Max/etc.). No one buys a new phone every year, this isn't 2015 anymore.
I’ve wanted to see cleaner naming myself too (say a lineup of iPhone SE, iPhone and iPhone Pro). But I can appreciate when they have to sell alongside older models. Though the past few years the OLED models haven’t really hung around. Xs replaced the X in the lineup and 11 Pro replaced the Xs.Apple needs numbers to sell new devices alongside old ones.
Hoping for four corners!! *fingers crossed*The big question is, how will Apple arrange the four lenses this year?
Will the camera bump be circular, square, or rectangular?

Glad you and many others are pleased with the iPhone options Apple provides to all their customers. Though you may not realize it, the price of iPhones is driven by features (screen size and tech, cameras, etc. and needed memory. And not by simply having options available.
The good news is, if one is flummoxed or perplexed from having options available, there are plenty of other mobile phone manufacturers willing to sell you a one size fits all phone.
Simply choose and pay for a phone that meets your requirements and budget. Easy.
I’ll definitely be upgrading from my iPhone XS to this generation. Having a preference for smaller phones, I can already tell it will be a tough decision whether I go with the portability of the 5.4” or the superior tech in the 6.1”.
WTH is asking for thinner phone? It's already awkward to hold without a case. Make it more durable, not thinner.
Keep the same thickness and add the biggest battery possible. We're using our phones for more and more, they need to have the battery life to support that. The 11 Pro Max is the first iPhone that I can get thru the day with, as long as I don't spend the day taking pictures on vacation (or stream a lot of YouTube). But I'd rather not think of battery life at all.WTH is asking for thinner phone? It's already awkward to hold without a case. Make it more durable, not thinner.
Keep the phone the same thickness and increase the battery size to get there. If people complain aren’t complaining now that they are too thick then I really doubt that they will complain when it’s the same thickness along with a much longer battery life.Presumably(hopefully) the thinner profile comes from the recent advances in OLED panel technology and not at the expense of battery life...
It's so easy, I have to spend so much time researching which iPhone is best for my friends and family since, as I already mentioned, they ask me every year which phone to get.
Economies of scale play a huge role in the cost of the device, not just features. Not to mention, less of the standard dark color/storage configuration I want gets made in favor of providing a variety colors/storage so the one I want is sold out. Okay fine, I'll just pay more for the maximum 512GB version on top of the already inflated price due to lower economies of scale, right? Or maybe I just wait a month. Or maybe I'll just choose the awful gold color no one wants. Or maybe I'll get the big phone I'm probably going to regret. Or maybe the budget phone that I *might* hate. So many options. Easy.
Yeah...I totally love answering the annual question "Which new iPhone should I get?" among family and friends.
Also enjoyed that 1 year I regretted getting a plus sized phone.
