Since this appears to be an incredibly difficult process for you to deal with, apparently causing you a boatload of unnecessary angst, simply purchase a phone from another manufacture who offers limited options. And be happy.
None of the other manufacturers fit my requirements. But I hope you enjoy your "super easy" purchase of a inflated priced phone simply because people wanted a two handed budget green phablet in their hands only to cover the green color with a black case. Easy.

Feel free to reply, but I'm done with your replies. See ya.

Funny, that was the same year most everyone else loved their plus sized phone. If only there were a way to please both parties... oh wait!

A plus sized phone purchase does not mean it was and will always be a customer's preferred size. I bought a 6+ out of curiousity. Hated it. Bought a 7 plus because my preferred choice was out of stock and needed a new phone ASAP before traveling. Also, the iPhone XR was the most popular of its generation due to price, not because it was the perfect size.

But go ahead and make erroneous assumptions based on your flawed data without considering the other possible reasons.

Looking forward to Android users making fun of the camera lens layout, then seeing Android phone makers copy the camera lens layout

Well, I’m most interested in the 5.4” model. I would have bought the XR but I felt it was just too close in size to the Xs max and I am one of the few who appreciates the 3D Touch display. If it’s smaller than the Xs that is a big plus for me. Missing the size of the SE but love the Xs, so maybe a love child?

So the triple camera setup will only be on the largest model it sounds like? God I hope they don’t go back to having the best camera setup on the larger iPhones... it was such a pain in the ass during the iPhone 6, 6s, and 7 years when they gave the better camera setup to the larger phones. OIS on 6 Plus, OIS on 6s Plus, and dual cameras on 7 Plus. I wanted the better camera, but not the massive phablet. Stick with the current 5.8” and 6.5” Pro setup!

I’m asking for a thinner phone.

Yea well, I don't. I'd rather have 5000mAH battery with thicker profile so I never needed a case anymore.. And make it scratchproof and durable with brushed stainless steel frame, not glossy. To me, iPhone 4s is the closest thing to a perfect phone design. It was built like a tank with very few structural weakness, except for the glass back that does nothing but look pretty.

If there is no high-end phone smaller than the current 11, I'll be holding on to my 11 Pro for another year. The 5.8 size is perfect and anything larger is a deal breaker. In fact, I'd actually prefer smaller, but will always opt for the Pro camera. The X/Xs/11 Pro struck this balance perfectly of matching the best camera with a reasonably sized phone.

I fear that Apple is discontinuing the 5.8" size because it sells the least. What they fail to recognize is that it sells the least because of price, not because of size. The masses don't really care, so they buy the 11. The next largest audience just want the largest screen possible and buy the Max. Probably the smallest audience wants the Pro bells and whistles but doesn't want a big phone. I get it, but sadly I fall in that group.
I agree. I think that’s part of the reason we lost out on 3D Touch. They sold two budget phones without the feature, which then outsold the higher end devices, making more devices out in the Wild without the feature. They cater more and more to the average user that uses their phone for Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat... smdh.

For awhile there, they also put the better cameras on the larger phones. I was annoyed with the 6-7 when they reserved certain camera features and the dual setup to the larger phones. I won’t ever do a bigger phone. The nice thing about the X-11 Pro is that the body is about the same size as the 6-7, but with a bigger screen.

I’m really curious to see what the lineup will look like at release. I want to try downsizing from my XS Max. The added feature set seems like it’s going to be large this year, and I’m excited for it, but I’m not sure I’ll pull the trigger on an upgrade. My XS Max is just running too well and still looks brand new. I think I‘d have buyer’s remorse unless there are some really revolutionary changes or I get too sick of the size of my XS Max and it’s currently unpredictable battery life.

I’m so excited to hear the news that the 5.4” iPhone height will be between that of the iPhone SE and iPhone 8. This confirms that the 5.4” model is Apple’s return to a one-handed use device. Praise all that’s holy.
Too bad they are going to gimp it of features. I really want a good in hand phone but don’t want to loose out on functionality.

WTH is asking for thinner phone? It's already awkward to hold without a case. Make it more durable, not thinner.
When you say make it more durable what do you mean? Plastic? The last time Apple made a plastic phone it was roundly criticized because plastic isn’t ”premium”.

It better get some damn good optical zoom, I’m expecting to be disappointed though with 3X. These updates are getting so incremental.
Do you need a new phone? I don’t get why people hate on incremental when the phones are as good as they are now. There is absolutely no need for people to buy a new phone every year.

Thinner? Guess Johnny Ive’s influence is not completely gone yet..
Or perhaps he wasn’t the one (or the only one) obsessed with thin and light.

Make it bigger and heavier, with better battery.

So I take it you don’t own an iPhone 11 or are completely unaware of of the current specifications? Because Apple actually decreased the size of the iPhone 11 (Partially from deleting 3D Touch) and increased it with a larger battery.

They should do a flip phone. I hope I’m not being political!

If you’re wanting a ‘flip phone’ from Apple, highly unlikely. The newly revamped Motorola Razr however, is completely available.

Which ever camera provides me with the largest camera sensor is what I want so as much as I don't want to buy a 6.7 inch phone - if it's going to over me the best camera image possible. then so be it.

I would like a thinner phone. Thanks for checking.

The iPhone doesn’t need to go any thinner, it needs a bigger battery

Why. It already lasts the better part of two days.

6.7-inch model will have a thickness around 7.4mm, which would be nearly 10% thinner than the iPhone 11 Pro Max at 8.1mm

And that is still 0.3mm more than iPhone 6s.

5.4-inch model's height would be between the iPhone SE and iPhone 8,

The iPhone XR / 11 has 5.1mm bezel. An iPhone 5.44" ( Still wondering why they dont do 5.5", easier for marketing purposes ) together with bezel will have height 135.7. That is Still closer or more the less same as 138.4mm of iPhone 8.

Hardly "between" iPhone SE and iPhone 8

WTH is asking for thinner phone? It's already awkward to hold without a case. Make it more durable, not thinner.

That is me for sure. I want it Sub 6mm. iPad Pro thin. but "without" sacrificing battery life.

The 0.7mm reduction could have came entirely from new OLED Screen. Not sure if next year is a tad too early for that tech though. I dont follow OLED as closely.
