I can imagine Ive in the video at the unveiling event now...

"It's like, how much more space gray could this be? And the answer is none. None more space gray."

Carbon fiber all around, iPhones to Mac Pro and all the laptops.

I am talking about the kind F1 uses. Very expensive to make for low number of cars, but can get cheap if mass produced.

You can custom order the color - Navy Blue to bright Red, or ... the drab black or silver.

I love it how many people get all bent out of shape over the color of a phone... the same phone that they will immediately put directly into a case.

Have to put a case on it as Apple Grey isn't a very nice shade, now Black that's a real colour

People color blind again? I like this ...

Apple -- keeping it serious when it comes to iPhone colors.

yuck. Pick someone from a crowd..

I would like to see the colors they had (have) for the iPod Touch ... loved their (light) blue - would be great for my iPhone.

Might be a logical next step for the Apple Watch. Introduce it with some of the color selections as the iPod Touch.

I've always felt that the yellow gold iPhone should have a black screen and the rose gold on white. That would make it 2/2. Even though I bought Space Gray, the gold MacBook with black display looks sharp.

Edit: Someone beat me to it a couple post up lol

You know what looks good with a black screen? ROSE GOLD!!! It's ridiculously beautiful on black screens! (check apple watch)

So in other words ..... Slate?

And the Space Gray color currently found on the Apple Warch Sport is essentially as dark as Slate.

They're just not consistent with this color, but the trend seems to be going from medium (e.g., first SG iPad) to light (e.g., current SG iPhone) to dark (e.g., current SG Apple Watch Sport).

Would absolutely love a special edition iPhone 7 Plus in Space Black Stainless Steel like the Apple Watch. That alone would make it my favorite Apple device ever and go back to black!

Following a sketchy rumor last week that said Apple is planning to introduce a "Deep Blue" color option for the upcoming iPhone 7, Japanese blog Mac Otakara has clarified to AppleInsider that the new color will actually be a "much darker" variant of space gray that is "close to black, though not quite black."

The so-called "new, darker shade" could more closely resemble the look of the "space black" stainless steel Apple Watch, pictured below, which is darker than the "space gray" aluminum Apple Watch Sport. Meanwhile, Apple will reportedly continue to offer the iPhone 7 series in silver, gold, and rose gold color options.

Apple has used different shades of "space gray" and "black and slate" across its iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch lineups over the years. The iPhone 6s and iPad Pro, for example, each have a lighter shade of "space gray" compared to the iPhone 5s and original iPad Air respectively.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus/Pro in September. The 4.7" and 5.5" smartphones are rumored to feature a thinner iPhone 6s-like design, sans a 3.5mm headphone jack, while each may have a faster Apple A10 processor, improved waterproofing, repositioned antenna bands, and faster LTE and Wi-Fi. A dual-lens camera and 3GB of RAM may be exclusive to the 5.5-inch model.

A new color, now that's innovative!

I never understood why... after Mr Jobs, Apple took away the black color... I just don't get it.

The color black is an excellent choice of design that earned tremendous customer support. Apple in fact started out with Black only and no other option.

I know Cook allowed additional colors like gold for the chinese market... but why kill the black finish?

I know a few people who still have the 5 and every single time I see it my SE gets a little jealous of the real space grey.

Oh my god! Another shade of grey!

I love Tim Cook's Apple! It so much more innovative, stylish and future oriented than Steve's!

I don't think they wanted to, but switched to the lighter Space Gray because of poor durability with the Slate finish. However, they seem to have remedied this if the much darker Space Gray on the AW Sport is any indication so they may finally be returning to it.
