Split screen like that we saw in Samsung TouchWiz UI since 2012? #thinkdifferent
I can't imagine how with all of the programmers that apple has and the fact that iOS 8 has been in development for months now they cannot get this feature ready for even a beta version at WWDC.
Why would it work only on the Air and not the Mini when they are essentially the same machine with different screen sizes? Hope this isn't a signal that Bigger and Biggest iPhones will have exclusive features.
well this is embarassing
This is honestly something that wouldn't have happened under Steve. That's the only time I'll say it -- I promise. But honestly...![]()

Maybe they don't want a repeat of some of the things we saw with iOS 7 where clearly the early betas were not ready for prime time. If it's not ready then don't show it off yet.
Eh? iOS 8.1?
Gotta save something for next year.
Apple can copy competitors a bit, after all they have copied.
I haven't used multitasking on other devices - would users who have deem it as a 'killer feature'?

These damned rumors, first they giveth then they taketh away.
Huh? It's not like they've cancelled a promised feature. It's neither cancelled nor was ever promised. This is honestly something that wouldn't have happened under Steve. That's the only time I'll say it -- I promise. But honestly...![]()
Meh, this was the iOS 8 feature I was looking forward the mostI expect another boring and ugly update, then.
