All the stores in Asia/Oceania appear to be down, but none anywhere else?

As long as the US Store is up (no offense) it can't be "THE BIG ONE", can it?

why would they close all of asia and australia? It comes in waves, never do all go down at the exact same time.

Let's go!!

Stupid Yanks think it's all about you. Just cause the US store isn't down doesn't mean there won't be updates, the US store will be down soon enough, I'm sure they don't close them all at the same time, maybe by alphabetical order or something.

a ha ha - this is what i mean when i say 'absolute quality'.

yeah, i agree - give em time and they will all go down.

It's not about thinking it's all about us, its the fact that it's the home country of the company.

umm well the company is located in the US sooooo..... I think it is all about them really.

If it wasn't for us "stupid yanks" you wouldn't have an Apple product.

Will you apologize to our American friends for calling them stupid when you are proven to be wrong?

why would they want to lose valuable customers to such a stunt?

There not going to loose customers on a stunt like this. Look at what it is doing now, we are all on the edge of our seats waiting and it doesn't happen now we will be sitting close to the edge of our seats waiting for a whisper of it happening again.

On to another subject, I wonder how long till the macrumors forum crash.

Or it could be price cuts for all except US, due to the depreciation of USD towards most currencies since March...

Regardless of whether this is the real deal or not, it's been oddly fun the last few weeks on these forums, and this has turned today into like a holiday of Apple watching.

They are adding Aussie English as a standard option on Snow Leopard.

instead of shut down.. it a "G'day Mate" option

Put another "Widget on the Barbie"... you know what I mean....

EDIT. I JUST WOKE UP. TYPED THIS ON AN IPHONE IE DAYS DATS AND SO ON. NEED MORE REST. HOPE IM WRONG AND WE SEE SUB INE GRAND HEADKESS MACS and more machines geared toward prosumers and not price cuts and thinner.

And to those having heart palpitations you sound like your 12. Relax.

Yeah but if it's price cut and the sane ole same ole, it won't do much. How many times Di we hear rumors only to be really unsatisfied thst it's just price cuts. Or if your Pro user like I am then see the 13" mnp has no express slot, it leaves a bad taser in your mouth.

Apple revolves sadly now, around the iPhone consumer and I thibknwecwont see any quads and if we do they will be much slower. Remember, Aple never in years since the ihone caused one to one traing to go from logic, shake,FCP to all iLife trainers ( you can't find anyone that knows shake) let alone FCP, applle for years has never given uscwhat we wanted ie headless midrange mac pro. It's mobile parts or outrageous server parts needlessly overpriced i
mean its supposed to be a work statio not a servertherefore I don't see apple stealing any thunder if it's price cuts and mobile arts this is a fail and part of the reason apple appears to be successful during this bad economy is that people are dumping land lines to save a few bucks.
Seen it over and ober, the refreshes always turn out to be dissappointing then a few dats latter we start to justify the release. The only small bit if news is that jobs said something about updates that pros (althuogh his definition of pri is prosumer), would like
otherwise with all the rave reviews win 7 has combined with millions if IT firns updating. Win 7 will be huge and only things like a 3.0 octo core i7 midrange mac at under $1000, same price, little more than a hackntosh, i see very little
thunde stealing especially since most new monitors comecnwith hdmi and all new pcs can turn yoir pc into a media hub, ie tv tuner and apple tv try has dvr, I think apple will not steal anything. Not when in out if three top fortune 500 companies stuck in xp world will update.

One thing is for certain, within the next hour or so theres either going to be

1) Alot of very excited people if the US and UK stores follow suit

OR

2) Alot of very peed off people when all the Asian stores are put back up with no new iMacs

I'd be happy with that, the aussie dollar is approaching parity with the US, and with 4 interest rate rises expected in the next 4 months, it's likely to become worth more than the US. We've slipped to 13th on the ipod index too...

For those that have been around here for things like this in the past, is it always like this in the weeks running up to the reality of a rumor maybe coming true?

Funny macrumors spy is getting ownd by this thread. I only came back to this thread when I noticed it was filling up with posts from this thread.

Its early morning in these Pacific time zones, I'm thinking its just some kind of store maintenance.
