Apple would not drop the 24" but it is possible that they have not refreshed it on this cycle.

If you were the apple webmaster you think that you would purposefully take a long time updating the store just to screw with addicts like us? I'm sure its neither here nor there for the average person who has no idea they are about to update it.

I would think apple webmasters have to answer to their bosses, who don't like it if their storefront is closed any longer than it should be.

Going on what 2, 2.5 hours now? That's a long time not to be selling anything mac related.
