Its not a problem OP.

I have a toshiba satellite that creaks a little when I press on its hinge on the back. Its just the way these are. Its not going to fall off, explode, etc etc.

The plastic on the RIGHT hand side is not creaky. Why should the plastic on the left hand side?

Take a look at the internals of how the macbook is put together and you'll find out. Its because the support isn't on that particular side. Its not a defect, there is just slightly less support there.

When someone spend say 500 bucks they will not look for something wrong. All these computers are built in the same factory by the same workforce.

I spent under a G for what I'm using now, and it's functional. This is what I expect. I don't not expect my laptop to held in the same standards as a Ferrari.

I've had problems with the back hinge, when my Macbook is closed. I'm planning on taking it in and trying to exchange it for the 2.4 GHz macbook and pay the difference. You can all hate, but I paid $1300 for this comp and I deserve to not have problems with it. I'm a shareholder too, so don't tell me about how Apple's gonna lose money from this.

What kind of problems?
