It is to me in person. I could care less what you are experiencing and you are not me. Case close.

If you are not the ceramic owners and just trolling this thread to attack the ceramic owners, please move on.

What ever you say. The problem with numbers is they don't lie. Like I've said, you clearly have blinders on for the ceramic model and no one can convince you that you're wrong, even when you clearly are.

What I am doing is pointing out that there is no humanly possibly way you could actually tell the difference between the two models.

How do you know the numbers are accurate? Did you test them in person? Are there anyone reviewing and validating your numbers with research? Did you ask anyone who wears ceramic to prove your opinion?

I think what you meant to say is that there is no way that YOU could tell the difference. If you seriously think you can speak for everyone here then you are just being outspoken, arrogant and down right ignorant. Edit: And to be clear *I* can’t notice a difference, but I am a 6’1 and have wrists like tree trunks. I am not going to discount someone else’s experience because it’s different than my own.

You are correct, though. Numbers don’t lie (unless Apple posts the wrong weights, which could never happen...). The numbers say there is a difference. They don’t lie. What you are questioning is whether that person is sensitive enough to that delta to be able to tell a difference or not.

They're not "my numbers"...the tech specs are right on the Apple website dude. Unless Apple is lying about the weight of the ceramic in order to make it seem heavier for some reason, why wouldn't we believe them?

This doesn't need research. It's very straight forward.

I don't know that I'd notice the difference between the steel and ceramic in this revision, but it was definitely noticeable with the s2 and s3. But even just the way they feel on the wrist is definitely different

The numbers do say there's a difference, I'm not disputing that. What I am disputing is that there's people out there that can actually tell the difference of 1.1 grams when the watch is on their wrist.

You can assume I'm arrogant or ignorant or anything else that you'd like, that's your prerogative. Let me rephrase my point:

"I highly doubt that anyone can tell the difference of 1.1 grams. I won't speak for everyone, but I personally believe that anyone that says they can is full of it."

Better?

It is just my personal experience. To me, it is lighter. Try to wear ceramic for once when you can, not just looking the statistics and believes it. The statistics can be deceiving. So, for once, you try not believing flatly from statistics but try it in person.

It is getting better. Happy Friday on Tuesday . You are the lucky one.
Moved cross country, took a new job and pay cut for the schedule.
This is my short week followed by 4 days off. Next week is my long 4 on, 3 off

Here’s mine but it’s Digital Crown started auto scrolling so Apple is going to swap it for another one, I’ll just have to wait a couple days until they get another one -_-

I’m with you on this. Someone who claims to notice a 1.1 gram difference already knows one is heavier than the other because they’ve read that it is. The fact they physically notice, is purely psychological. I’ve carried out a lot of product testing in my career and it’s amazing how people can be tricked by information. We had two aluminium extrusions for static testing, one was 50g lighter but I told the audience it was the other way around. Everybody in that room believed me and noticed the difference.

I have tried it. You literally can't tell the difference and if you say you can you're lying. You've got blinders on for this thing and that's fine I guess, but don't sit there and try to kid yourself into thinking that it's noticeably when it's not.

Seriously, what are you doing in Ceramic owners thread? Still on the fence? Trying to attack others with your condescending tone - all just to justify your Apple Watch purchase preference??

I still hate you haha..

I do sort of regret not getting the papaya when it was out for a light orange shade.. am making do with clementine now.. just irritating sometimes that we can’t separately buy the Hermes band (and no S/M size), especially since I feel it’s the perfect shade of orange.. better than apple’s official orange which is reddish.

Just did a blind test of all 4, the SS was an S4

Ceramic and SS felt alike
Ti next
Al lightest

I believe that fits with Apples posted weights.

I remember the S3 Ceramic felt as light as the Al, wonder why the S5 Ceramic is closer to the SS weight.

Stuck in customs darn it

Dug this on out today. Looks good with a light blue or gray polo

I need that band!

I’m starting to come around to leather loops on the Apple Watch Ceramic instead of leather bands. The loop lugs are full coloured with the strap and don’t have the ugly stainless steel lugs..

grabbed a screenshot for a friend previously, but couldn’t find the thread again, so here’s the screenshot I saw:

Do you know how they got that little Apple Logo complication?

I only had the S5 for the morning before having to take it back to the store, but it felt as heavy as my S3 edition, I can weigh both of them if you’d like when I get my S5 replacement :)

Its the monogram complication. Just paste the Apple text icon into the field. The monogram text field is in iPhone’s watch app, under clock.

It's still available in Canada at The Source!
