Go into the store in the richest area in town. I know, that sounds bad but that’s what I did and I picked mine up the same day. I couldn’t wait until mid October to get mine. I hope it works for you! The online estimate is always off. There are plenty ceramic models sitting at the Apple store in Costa Mesa CA.

It's more accurate to say the stainless steel is closer to the ceramic weight- when they changed the back on all the s4 models to be made of ceramic, it bumped the weight up on the aluminum models and brought it down on the steel. Now that ceramic is back, there's not a huge difference between the two because half of the steel model is already ceramic.

Thank you for providing such a nice explanation and chart. This weight discussion becomes so frivolous for this Ceramic Series Owner thread. This frivolous weight discussion rooted from a member who appears trying to make the ceramic weight issue as a bigger deal, which should have not been and appear had intention to provoke unnecessary arguments/discussions.
The thread appears to be originally created for excitement of ceramic owners for having the most premium Apple Watch Edition and enjoying our beloved high end AW.
Some visitors who appear as non ceramic owners based on their statements posted their comments which appeared to stir-up issues within this thread, which is not relevant/frivolous to the thread creation purpose.
Congrats on getting yours, looks great! I have to admit, Mickey watchface, tattoo and ceramic, perfect!!!!! I am such a closet disney fan. 16 times to disney world and want to go again!

Jealous, I’ve never been; waiting till my youngest is 3 and then taking the family. Definitely more excited then the kids, probably because they don’t know yet. Either way, I love tattoos and Disney, especially their stock.
I bought the watch for the look. I liked the look. It has nothing to do with upping one person or another. It has nothing to do with weight.
So it is a couple of grams heavier than another model.
I had a nike S4 with cellular and I did not like it. I preferred the feel of the SBSS and the look and feel of the ceramic.
When I worked at the store I sold a ton of AL watches. Great product. Many would ask what the difference was between the AL and the ceramic or the Hermes. Band, faces and case. They would ask why some would buy it. I would reply, They like it, it's similar to people going to the Coach store and spending $1000 on a mans wallet when I go to amazon and spend $8; they both do the same thing.
I like the look, and yes I was excited to finally get it. I also feel having this thread we can share the excitement and how we wear them.
I was in a a food cafe at a mall. I noticed a woman wearing a ceramic. I did a and up and down nod and she gave me a wink. I thought that was kinda cool.

Exactly! I just like how rough I can be on the ceramic. My S3 looks brand new yet I wore it everywhere! I don’t care about being better than anyone. A material object will never make anyone better than someone else. Anyone who thinks that kinda sucks. Bruinsrme, you’re awesome. You were the one that made me get the S3 way back! I just fell in love with the classic Mac white. So clean!! Loving the orange!!

I am a simple person, cheeseburger and pizza type of guy. I enjoy specific things butt hose things I enjoy I splurge on.
The ceramic is crazy assed expensive. I knew There was something about the ceramic that I liked. When I went to the store and saw the series 2 I ordered it right then and there. I love with the look, surely not the cost.
I am glad there are others as passionate about the ceramic as I am.
Wearing it today I almost can’t help the 40mm would have been a better size for me.

I remember this one customer I helped.
She was a senior in high school and came in. She had an evelope of cash. She stepped away and I got talking to her friend. She told me her friend has been babysitting and working at an ice cream shop saving money to buy this watch.
Her friend came back, told me the watch she wanted. I asked about Apple care and she didn’t have enough for it.
Iknew what companies had the biggest EPP discounts. I applied that discount and she was able to squeeze in apple care with the purchase.
she was thrilled. She came back in with her friend and she bought a watch too.
Sometimes I broke the rules, but seeing such excitement it my customers brought me such joy.
$1000 for a coach wallet is like crazy. I have a Burberry only cost $400.
