Sounds like you’re all set. Well, at least until the next set of bands are released in December...
Yes indeed. The young lady that helped me at the store today loved the band I was wearing. She even knew when it was released. I was impressed

Now we’re asking the important questions everybody in this group is curious about 😂
my company has a rewards scheme with discounts of up to 10% across major high street stores and retailers including Apple. At the Apple stores and on line, I get 5% across accessories such as AirPods, watch bands and cases and up to 10% on Macs. The only items where discount doesn’t app,y is the new gen watches and phones. Apart from that it’s everything

Thank you for the kind words, they mean a lot to me.
I am a simple person, cheeseburger and pizza type of guy. I enjoy specific things butt hose things I enjoy I splurge on.
The ceramic is crazy assed expensive. I knew There was something about the ceramic that I liked. When I went to the store and saw the series 2 I ordered it right then and there. I love with the look, surely not the cost.

I am glad there are others as passionate about the ceramic as I am.

Wearing it today I almost can’t help the 40mm would have been a better size for me.

look across the forum. The enthusiasm and excitement about every model Apple offers is evident and shared.

I remember this one customer I helped.
She was a senior in high school and came in. She had an evelope of cash. She stepped away and I got talking to her friend. She told me her friend has been babysitting and working at an ice cream shop saving money to buy this watch.
Her friend came back, told me the watch she wanted. I asked about Apple care and she didn’t have enough for it.
Iknew what companies had the biggest EPP discounts. I applied that discount and she was able to squeeze in apple care with the purchase.
she was thrilled. She came back in with her friend and she bought a watch too.
Sometimes I broke the rules, but seeing such excitement it my customers brought me such joy.

Anytime! I’m simple as well. I work hard to afford the things I have so I appreciate them so much more, I feel.
You are so kind to help your customers. I live by a rule to always be kind. It seems to work out most of the time. When you buy a product like the Apple Watch you should have a sense of excitement. I am so glad that you were there to help others.

I think the ceramic owners get a bad name because they spent a lot more compared to others, but we are all just human. I enjoy this forum very much when there is support and kind words. This thread has always had very nice people. Keep up the great work guys!!

Ceramic owners don’t get a bad name because they ‘spend more’, please don’t think that. Certain owners give themselves a bad name when they try and imply an elitist position because they’ve spent more than others. It’s that sort of snobbery that gets challenged.

You’ve got a lovely watch and I enjoy browsing this thread seeing the combinations others have chosen. We are all fans of Apples products. :)

I always tried to understand why people were wanting to buy what they were buying.
The icecream girl was one of my more memorable customers. There were so many more.
In MA we have a tax free weekend. We all when the store is busy there is a queue. The store was packed and I was positioned to take the next person. An older lady and young girl both asked if I could help them at the same time. I looked at one then the other and said, Rock, paper scissors.
It was a mean battle, but it was so cool watching these two battle it out and with about 30 people people watching. The young girl won but I helped them at the same time. I always try to make it fun and take part of their excitement.
Both thanked me for making the experience what it was.

On the scale of things, why does it matter if someone spends £300 or £1400 on a watch. People don't get a bad name for spending nearly the same money buying the 11 Pro Max rather than the 11 or £2000 on a new MacBook rather than a HP Windows laptop so why should people buying the flagship watch give them a bad name.
People can spend their money on what they want. As long as they don't use promoting what they bought as leverage to intimidate others or make them feel inadequate which would be bad.

Totally agree with this! I purchased my Series 3 ceramic because I loved the material and how scratch resistant it is, no other reason. I have never mentioned the cost to anyone and don't think I'm special for buying it.

Totally. I went back to Stainless this year (from one year of aluminium) not because of the status and to say look at me, but to me it was worth it. I missed the look. That was my choice.

I love the ceramic but can't justify the cost to me. I think it is a totally beautiful watch. What that actually means is I don't love it enough to spend that much. I won't knock anyone that gets it, just not for me. I don't knock an aluminium wearer for the same reason. Nothing about status, all about personal tastes. If we were all the same it would be a very boring forum :)

These post are funny; I had the Hermès series 4 and in that chat there’s never been any post (that I’ve seen) that questioned why people would spend the money on that watch vs another one. this is a forum to talk about the ceramic watch you own, thinking of buying or are waiting for (like me, 10 days left). If you dont fall into either of the categories, then why are you here?

People are strange. They will spend money on some things but when someone spends money on something else they become condescendin. I have friends that will spend $300+ on a single night drinking bourbon and smoking cigars. Or pay $1200 to see the Patriots play in the playoffs.
life is short, enjoy What you like.

Completely agree; trust me, I argue with my wife. She doesn’t get it my technology fetish, but likes LV purses. You like what you like and I don’t judge people for what they buy, unless it’s my money.

My family and friends actually do talk smack because I get all of the Apple items you mention, it is because I prefer the Apple experience and am willing to pay for it. I actually have used Android phones and currently have a PC at work and they work just fine, I just prefer Apple for my personal devices.

I think the watch just gets more public visibility since its prominently on your wrist, nobody but my tech geek family and friends notice my laptop, phone, Apple TV's or homepod but everyone sees the watch on your wrist.

I'm not sure how we got on talking about other clothing items but I have a Walmart polo, pants and new Ti watch I'm sporting today.

So back to Apple watches. Anyone have the ceramic with the red band; can you send a pic?

Makes me want to swap clementine for pine green (on a stainless steel). Do you know if I can walk in and do a band exchange, or do I need to bring it all back?

I think you can just swap the band.

I rang Apple the other day and they said you could just exchange the band at a retail store.
Talking of band swops, would it be cool if we could have a thread on here allowing members to swop bands with each other. It would be good if we could list bands that we have and no longer need and list the ones that we want. Sadly I am not sure if that breaches the rules on this site. I expect it does

Just pick up the band, LOL
I don't thing they can do a closed box return because the band has been worn.
If the band wasn't been worn, see if they can do a closed box and just repurchase it.
Not sure about the edition, it may be required to be sent back and not put back in the local store's inventory.

Something I found interesting is that for the Catalyst case the ceramic watch doesn’t fit. Is it any thicker than other materials?
