This is the primary way I watched YT on low end G4s and it was easily the best way. Id go to s60tube website and search for a video and click watch online or copy and paste the link into VLC and bam, I could stream 360p YouTube on a 700mhz eMac running Panther (and on other Macs running Tiger or Leopard).

But the past week? Not working at all. Getting a no suitable access module error (HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden).

Whats going on? What is this error? This is the only way I know how to reasonably play YouTube on lower end G4s like this without the massive hassle of downloading first.

Just tried it and working for me.

For redundancy use PPCMC7.

Its possible they (either s60 or YouTube) are blocking my IP too, but I'll try PPCMC7 and other media players besides VLC when I get the eMac on Sorbet Leopard.
PPCMC7 works with Panther.
Are you using a Nokia Symbian user agent - I think the site rejects anything other than old phones (or devices pretending to be?)

Im using the native Safari user agent, but yeah that might explain it. It didn't work on my modern M4 mac with it's safari.

I wonder if s60 works on old iOS Apple devices like iPad 1st Gen, iPhone 2G, ect.
