Apple makes ipods... not phones... makes sense now? move along now

No, that makes no sense at all since they obviously do make phones.

It's nice that the speaker is better on the iPhone 4 but the earpiece is still to quiet. I think it's because it's a pinhole speaker because they think it looks better.

Without commenting on all the other posts, I will just say I agree with the OP.
It's the best ipod/handheld computer I have ever used and the worst phone I have ever used. Whether or not it's Apple fault or AT&T's, the bottom line is I was dropping >50% of the calls I made. That is unacceptable for a PHONE! So there is now one more IP4 making it's way through the system to the used/refurb/insurance replacement supplies.
It's to bad, I really liked every other aspect of the iPhone 4, so maybe the upcoming new ipods might be the ticket for me.

maybe because you live in Arkansas?

Maybe cause some of us have iPhones that don't suck as a phone. This is my first iPhone and it gets as good or better reception and service than any previous "phone" I have ever had. Plus I can hold mine any way I want as mine doesn't have any antenna issues.

My sentiments exactly!! :)

I've had dropped calls daily when I was using iPhone3G. None of that happen when I'm using iPhone4 with Rogers. To me this is night and day :D
