For some reason, macrumors will get graphic glitches in Safari... it only impacts macrumors though. Other tabs aren't impacted, or other sites than what I have found.

Closing the tab and reopening it doesn't fix it... I have to quit safari and open it, and then it is fine again for a while, and then eventually comes back.

Attached a picture of what happens...

I'm on a late 2013 iMac 27" on Safari 14.0 (this did happen on 13 as well).

Not sure what you are referencing. The graphics seem fine, although there may be a text issue in the Google Pixel announcement header bar.

I believe this is related to this:

seems to affect iMacs more than anything. Possibly due to graphics card.

Thanks... yeah definitely seems to be the same issue. very strange indeed.

Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB so that does seem to lend to the theory it's an NVIDIA thing.

I get5 this too but my graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB

Something to try: stop the displaypolicyd process. I did it via Terminal:
Sass:
sudo launchctl stop com.apple.displaypolicyd
To start/enable again change "stop" to "start".

Curious if this helps anyone.

I tried stopping and starting the display policy, then refreshed the page but no change. (In this case I was having the issue on AWS, but have seen it plenty here on MR)

Same issue here with my MacBook Pro with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB and Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB.
Only in macrumors.com

I've been having this issue on my mid 2014 15" MBP for the last few months. I'm on Big Sur, latest update. This only happens in Safari, not Chrome, and it happens sporadically. Sometimes macrumors works just fine for days at a time.

Guys I have suffered the same app-specific graphical glitches (Photos + Safari) and compiled an in depth bug report with graphics, stats and graphs which I filed to Apple. I published it in copy in a standalone thread which I will update with official reactions or other learnings. At the time you read it, it may already be updated. 😉

Chime in if you want!

I saw this just once on my 2012 rMBP which also has Nvidia GT750M
I haven't seen it on either of the M1's I've had.
