How do you do get a window to become a tab in another window? I can't get it to work.

You may have to hold the mouse still briefly on the tab before moving it. It's kind of like the delay when you want to drag a block of text.

it's running beautifully for me. It is considerably faster than usual and the integration of dragging tabs is beyond a wonderful addition. For me, it was the only significant limitation to using safari. Perhaps what is running slow are the websites apple.com and macrumors.com since there are hundreds of thousands and thousands of hits respectively.

And I'm totally digging the:

-- Spell checker
-- In-line search

oh yeah...

What I like about Camino's search (although it doesn't touch this) is how you don't have to press a key combo, just start typing in a page...I wish Safari 3 had this (and SafariStand compatability NOW) :)

Wow...I'd noticed the inline search, but I didn't notice the new highlight scheme until I actually searched for something. Awesome.

Also, seems some of the memory leak issues are gone (or at least less severe than before).

It seems faster to me. I've really liked having autofill and spell check in Firefox so I'm glad it's finally in Safari.

Tabs Can Move Among Windows. Load Previous Session In History Menu.

I love the tabs, but wish there was a way (like Adium) to drag a window to be a tab in another window.
There is. You drag the Tab off and it becomes a new window when you release it. Then you can drag that new window tab into any other window's tab set. Perhaps you can even go directly to another window. I uninstalled mine. Perhaps I'll try again.
Find is awesome (but I don't know why CMD+Shift+F takes it away, instead of CMD+F for both)

I wish there was a replacement for (the now not working) SafariStand. I need my _blank pages to open in new tabs, and my restore feature :(
There is a Load Previous Session Command in the Safari 3 History Menu. So it has SafariStand like capability.

How do I uninstall SafariStand? That may be my problem.

It is...search for it in spotlight and delete the bundle files :)

My Safari 3 Is Now Great Thanks To Removing SafariStand

It spell checks my MR posts automagically...press :apple: +F for find search
Thanks.

Thank you very much PsychoFreak. When I lost the SafariStand bundle all is better. And the Reopen All Windows From Last Session command in the History menu is exactly like SafariStand.

I can confirm the port a page from one window to another directly is possible. Just drag the tab from one window to another and it drops right in. I love the Mobile Tabs feature. It's Killer.

You have to DRAG DOWN the tab to get it to go mobile. Then drop in from below the tab bar to place it in another window.

Thanks. I now have 5 gripes with Safari 3 Beta :
1. I need _blank to open in a new tab
2. I would like :apple: +F to be the 'Hide Find Banner' command
3. I like how Camino starts a search without CMD+F, just typing on the page
4. Camino's ad-blocking is beautiful
5. Divx STILL often crashes Safari

I already had them (I think from the SafariStand plug in)

its slower for me
On both your laptops?

Hm? Safari has always had those features. I think the only difference is that Spell Check is enabled by default maybe?

The inline Find is nothing short of great. The way it highlights the found elements beats everything else. But, CMD-F should close it like everyone else is saying.

Now if they can include an Adblock feature (since InputManagers are going byebye) it will be perfect.
