"Those" sites would be "this" site and any other number of regular forum sites. I have the issue worst on a golf forum I am on that has almost no ads.

Content Blockets do more than just block ads. There could be trackers in the background, for example. Content Blockers simply do what they say they do.

Had my iPad Pro a few days now. So far so good. Beautiful piece of hardware and haven't touched my laptop since getting it (MacBook Retina - which I still plan to keep and use when necessary).

My only concern so far is running Safari. Most of the time pages load fast and scroll buttery smooth. I was really happy to see that as I scrolled down long articles everything had already been rendered. None of that choppiness you get on older iPads (where as you scroll down and then the remaining page appears white until half a second later the contend will display -- does that make sense?).
Problem is, this experience didn't last for very long. Sites will scroll smoothly with no additional loading and then, for no reason, 15 minutes later it becomes a choppy experience until I shut the browser completely and reopen it.
I've tried making sure no other apps are running in the background, restarted the iPad, have 100GB free...

Anyone know why this is? It's really putting me off browsing, especially picture heavy outlets like MailOnline.com.

Is there not enough memory being allocated to Safari? A stupid bug that'll get fixed? So far this is my only problem with an otherwise awesome device.

I have had this same issue since day 1 on my iPad Pro. Force quitting Safari fixes it, until the next time. Most people apparently aren't sensitive to it. I'm surprised Apple hasn't fixed it yet, though.

Settings -> safari -> advanced -> website data -> "remove all website data"

That should clear up the issue for sometime.
Note: you won't lose any history but you'll lose cache / cookie info
Well that seems to make the scrolling better but every page is very slow loading now.

Could this actually be your connection or related to your connection? I seems to noticed some content, image refresh lag every once in a while when tether via my iPhone hot spot. Although, it is not always. It is depending on location I am at to notice this refreshing lag, only the images, not text. At the good LTE connection area, it is super fast. However, what I am home connecting to my home WiFi, I have never seen such lag. Everything was/is super snappy at home. Do you also notice the issue in a different time of day?

Definitely not my connection. Happens anywhere and at home I have HS Internet that is plenty fast.

In that case, I think it might just be how the website was coded. Some of the modern web page does one of those thing that will load the rest of content as you move down the page. Some website display the article content as you read, instead of load the entire of page. I guess, it was one of the method to conserve the bandwidth. I think "theverge.com" is one of those site that works that way. I verified it with all web browsers and they all behaved the same way. I tried that on my 2015 iMac 5k with 32GB of ram and it is doing that as well.

I'm having the same issue on a small but not insignificant number of sites. Probably my only disappointment with the pro so far. I've recorded a video of safari and chrome scrolling through forums.overclockers.co.uk as an example:

The problem is persistent and is there even when I clear cache, restart etc.

I get this same issue on my iPad pro and it is seriously annoying .. I end up having to close safari and re open it and then it is ok for a bit. I would think this wouldn't happen with how powerful the iPad pro is. It is really disappointing.

[doublepost=1463357856][/doublepost]Found a solution for this problem. Just zoom in by 1 percent (two fingers) on the webpage and you will not have any scrolling problem.

Let me know if that fix the problem for you.

Thanks

Found a solution for this problem. Just zoom in by 1 percent or the smallest amount possible (two fingers) on the webpage and you will not have any scrolling problem.

Let me know...

I've been annoyed by this issue too. Safari is just slow and laggy. Forward and back takes forever sometimes also. I'll give chrome a try, maybe it works faster .

I thought it was 'just me,' as I've been a tad sidetracked selling, moving and settling from one home to another on my own so I'm not running on all cylinders.
I took delivery of this iPad Pro air about a week ago and was immediately trying to figure out what ID DONE to make Safari 'float around the screen'!
I'm still flat out like a lizard drinking and would never have known had I not looked at your post!
Thanks for that matey!!

I'm just curious ( and a bit computer illiterate, ) but how can anybody not love Google ( Chrome ) over Safari?
Just askin'
