I really wonder why Apple didn't add Apple Pencil support... doesn't hurt nobody not using it, and could have made a couple of hundred millions $ from selling pencils. Now ProCreate Pocket customers need to resort to Wacom and Adonit :(

spoken like someone who's never worked in software development :) (to be fair, most people haven't)

(FYI, the more stuff you put in, the more chances you have for mucking stuff up. As a rule, Apple errs on the conservative side if a specific feature isn't ready for prime time)

Taking good photos or videos is an art. Rarely the full auto mode, i.e. just point and click, gets the best result for what one wants to achieve. And sometimes when they do, as I experience with my Galaxy's and Nokia's, the results look great on the phone screen but the moment it is viewed on other media it is clear it is an inaccurate mess of image quality.

Saying that I'm sure one can always find a device that is better at a particular individual feature. And if that particular feature is really really important then it would be wise to go for that. For me the entirety of the package is important and how well it works in a coherent and integrated manner, not just on the mobile devices but also integrated with my laptop, tablet and tv.

That is why for me I keep going back to iOS as it works so well together with MacOs, iPadOS, WatchOS and tvOS.

Well said. Except only in early iOS days did I “keep coming back”. Now there is NO compelling reason to to switch.

Note there are hiccups that I find annoying: HomePod & AppleTV 4 ... when watching YouTube on ATV audio is not passed off to the HomePod. Bloomberg will pass audio UNTIL the video is minimized to the preview square which will play regardless.

We as users spend time training Hey Siri BUT if you place two peoples own iPhones never linked to the same iCloud account and one correctly annunciates the command it’ll awaking the AI. Of all things we can wish for in Siri I’d like for the AI after training it to OnLY wake up using the teained voice

Fall in love with all our bloat wear and your OS is at least a year behind, but we already had dark mode ;)
Bahaha. This comment is as irrelevant as their attempt to lure you with a lame video mode. Still has more features in the Note 10+ than the new iPhones running iOS13–and it isn’t a year behind yet. Only a handful of phones are compatible with Android 10 currently. A feature coming to Android 10 eventually has been on Samsung phones for at least two years. It’ll be two or three more years until the iPhone gets it.

Here we go. Found the Samsung user.
But are they lying? If they were I would assume you would be pointing out how. You also don’t know they’re a Samsung user. I made a similar comment, while typing it on an Xr, and the only current Android device in the house being a Samsung Tablet, which is used for media, as Android tablets suck.

I actually would say that slofies is a cute but sort of useless idea, implemented very well. This “bokeh” video is a good idea, implemented terribly. Neither is a strong selling point. It’s pathetic that this is what Samsung is using for an ad to get iPhone users to switch over.
Yep. Slofies (autocorrected 3 times—come on iPhone this is an Apple term) is kinda really silly but seems “fun”. I’m starting to realize that iPhones are more of a “fun” actual communication device, and Samsung phones are more of a jack of all trades but sometimes over the top (this video bokeh) kinda thing. iPhones are still “phones” while I would argue the Note 10+ is more computer-ish.
I mean other than pictures/video the best of iPhone is about communicating/interacting with people and one could argue that those things play into it too. iMessage, iMessage games, AirDrop, FaceTime, even the Animoji—all about communication/interaction.

Well OS is the reason people buy iPhones and why a low number buys Samsung flagships. Sales shows people aren’t buying the flagships
You’re correct. Flagships in general. The Xr was the best selling iPhone since October when it was released, and the A series of Samsung, it gained a higher market share in Europe.

Switch: Hardware = maybe, OS Software = No way, never

Lol I’ve seen the very EXACT SAME phrases and sentiment when BBOS or BB10 was around by there users. Even myself said the same time hung flopping back and forth with my 9700/9900 to the 3GS or the 4S/5.

Take a guess what happened when the OS even led on either end ;)

Hint: it’s the fruit company with the first letter of the English alphabet ;)

I think this vertical video are not meant to watch on the TV....(TVs are only for old people who live in the past :))

Uhh ya! Why have a huge thin flat screen when you can watch it on a phone so no one ever.

You can disable it. Removes the icon from the machine and what not. Not an issue.

Edit: The big difference here is that when you remove or disable an app on the Note you can use something else in it's place. Whereas on the iPhone if you remove a default app, certain things don't always work correctly.

It would be nice to be able to choose default apps in iOS.

While videos aren't the only thing I look at for a phone, I was recently at a concert in a small theater and the person next to me had some version of an Android phone, and their video looked amazing. All the stage lighting was captured and the video mimicked what it looked like in real life. My friend and I shot some with our iPhones and it was flat and dark, and she was using an Xs Max. If I'm paying +$1k for a phone, it better deliver on all counts.

Weird. I have an xs Max and shot lots of video and pics at a live show and it looks like it was shot with a pro cam

You mean like the A13 chip? I right that’s a no
A13 is not a "feature". It's a processor. Every phone has it (albeit with a different name). Perhaps the only feature that iPhone has and Galaxy Note does not is Face ID. Then, of course, Note has a fingerprint sensor and pen support and Time of Flight sensor and memory card support and 5G and variable aperture camera and dual pixel auto focus etc.

“Disable” it he said
Yes. That’s what I said. Now, try doing that on an iPhone. Doesn’t quite work the same way. Even Apple says if you remove the pre-installed apps you may experience problems with some things. It doesn’t work that way on Android. You’re allowed to choose default apps for whatever you wish, and if you don’t want an app, big deal.
