Just thought I'd point this out. In the last article showing the parity between battery life tests, one of the phones had an Active SIM and the other phone had No SIM and did not have Airplane mode on, which made it drain more than it normally would have.

After running the GeekBench 3 battery test until they both ran down to 50 percent battery life, Evans discovered that the TSMC iPhone 6s lasted fifty minutes longer than the Samsung version, "resulting in a nearly 1.5 times difference in battery life."
So 7% at ~half battery, worse Δ at complete rundown. The next video is from Jonathan Morrison, who compared each chip... At the end of the full set of tests, the iPhone with the Samsung chip was at 55 percent battery while the TSMC device was at 62 percent.
Oh.Thermal imaging also showed the Samsung device running hotter than the TSMC version.
Careful! sheep might be jumping down your throat... how could you? trader! android lover! apple hater! Apple is above and beyond, everything they do is right, it's always your fault.Oh really? It's not an excuse when your phones battery life is ~1 hour shorter under heavy CPU intensive use. That's like Macbook Pro SSD thing. One model is almost twice as fast as the other one and you know along the way it really matters. Just like here.
Much ado about nothing.
Why don't you wait for results from the many people who bought an iPhone 6s before making your accusations.
Based on anecdotal pronouncements from statistically insignificant and questionable tests. How do we know a dozen other people haven't seen the opposite result but have not bothered posting (or been re-posted) because it doesn't meet with their expectations? There are a great many variables that are not even being considered.
Seriously, folks, until some actual scientifically relevant tests have been done don't get your knickers in a knot.
Samsung would be beyond reproach in this "situation". Apple ordered some chips. Samsung made 'em. Apple accepted delivery, and installed them in their product. No one has suggested that the Samsung chips are defective. And I actually have yet to see any evidence that the Samsung chips deliver less than the advertised battery life. But leave it to Apple customers to turn a little EXTRA GIFT battery life into a class action suit. Spoiled brats.Hey guys I found the Samsung executive.
Lrium has been pulled from the app store? WHY APPLE?? To hid this?
I used the app “System Status". it was 2.99 in the app store.
1. Open the app
2. Click on details
3. Scroll down to Device Information; Type. It will list what type of processor. I have the N66mAP = TSMC A9
Phone 6s: N71mAP = TSMC
iPhone 6s: N71AP = Samsung
iPhone 6s +: N66mAP = TSMC
iPhone 6s +: N66AP = Samsung

Agreed. The difference is absolutely significant in my opinion. It's a shame that we all pay the same price just so some can have a lesser capable chipset. I also got lucky and got the TSMC but call me weird but I probably would have returned mine if it was Samsung made just cause it's not fair.6-11% is major difference for many people. Especially if you have the 6S like me. I got lucky with TSMC, but I still feel this is unfair for those who got Samsung. This explains why the 6S+ it's more likely to have Samsung because the battery life is much better on the bigger iPhone. I hope this is something that can be fixed via software for the Samsung variants. Just many 2 cents.
Really? And how many test have we actually seen? Are any of the tests considering the variables mentioned here such as battery calibration, individual batteries, individual iPhones? And do you sincerely believe anyone posting different results would be get the same interest? The plural of anecdotes is not facts.Don't you find a little strange strange that after this massive discussion that is happening all over the Internet there are not a single test where a Samsung device equals a TSMC? I'm not even talking about wining but at least equaling the TSMC?
There's been more than one test. It cannot be a coincidence. How many tests do you require to be convinced?Really? And how many test have we actually seen? Nooooo I have the tsmc chip! I just read this article and until now I haven't really noticed anything at ALL but now all of a sudden after reading this I think ive noticed it die about 2 hours sooner. If I use my phone steady it dies so quick! I can't BELIEV-- oh it's the Samsung chip with the problems you say? oh........
Nvm
Definition: Placebo effect
I am showing 2hr56min of usage today with 7hrs of standby and I am down to 63%. Doing nothing but texting and safari and a few phone calls.
That is not good battery life.
I just checked..i have samsung...PISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no, translation: until you see blood the cut doesn't hurttranslation : i have samsung chip
No, no. The SAMSUNG chip simply needs to settle in and warm up to the daily tasks. Once it gets completely broken in, it'll be the faster chip, for sure.
