Quite but not surprising given we're talking about a corporation that has been dragged through the world's courtrooms and repeatedly adjudged to have indulged in widespread patent infringement (essentially IP theft), hence the moniker "Samesung".

For repeteadly are you talking about the US trial in August?

I dont have any faith on jony doing anything that will enhance the user experience on iOS atm and also dont think they will make any radical change to the UI/design, i feel like they are trap cause of old actions and maybe fear changing the game in 1 blow

Anyway dont take my post as an attack mate :)

Ps. English not my native.
They didn't fire Forstall just because he was an ******. There is a saying "a new broom sweeps clean" and I suspect that's what Ive will do with iOS. He won that particular battle remember and has so much power at Apple now.

LOL, this one is mega fail - design is horrible (as I see it, since Samsung cant copy - probably they are not in situation they can completely copy any better design as they position them as innovators - there is absolutely no taste in their design), it is even bigger as its predecessor, and brings nothing new (do you remember media bashing apple for iP 4s/iP 5 for being to similar to iP 4? - this time, samsung must be killed by media)

If I were about to switch to android (god help me this will never happen), only realy great designed phone is new HTC One... at least evenly great designed as iP 5, maybe little bit nicer...

To sum it up, this SGS 4 is exactly representing, what samsung really is - no taste giant that must copy to be good (and is crappy if it cant copy)

Honestly I can't keep track of the current score in all the legal nonsense, but they've not been found guilty without good reason and regardless of appeal reductions, that $1 billion + damages judgment has set a precedent even if most people don't care that Samsung have a culture of IP theft.

Fact is that unfortunately Apple is slowly being left behind... Curious about what Tim Cook will have to say at the predictably boring iPhone 5S launch event about the record breaking sales the Galaxy S4 will have by then. Very sad to see Apple going downhill... :(

Yeah, I can tell by your comment.
Apple going downhill is something you may wish.

Really? I had the opportunity to talk to a guy who'd been part of a team that made the official apps for a major company. They've had to make an Android version after being iOS only. In the first six months he said that downloads of the Android version were around 35 percent but access to the company's systems via Android was less than 4%.

Okay, there would have been iPhone users who downloaded before there was even an Android version, but there still seems to be this thing where real world usage of Android devices seems to fall well short of the sales figures. It's the same with web traffic. People just don't seem to use Android as extensively.

I have perhaps a dozen really great apps on iOS that either don't exist on Android or only have lame equivalents. Add to the fact the there are few tablet-optimised Android apps and it looks like that platform has a mountain to climb to catch up with iOS.

SO no wonder Samsung has to make huge phones stuffed full of gimmicks to compensate.

What should I feel about these devices like smartphones ? 95% of the stuff on it is gimmick and utterly useless.
I don't own an iphone nor a samsung or whatever smartphone. Have I ever felt left in the dark ? Not one split second ... Can I afford them ? Yes every one of them and cash enough to blow in this stuff. Do I need them ? No.

Yes, there was no revolution. There is not going to be another revolution, whether you're talking about Android or iOS devices, so stop ****ing expecting one!

Ah, you don't know how is the legal nonsense buy you claim that they have a culture of IP theft just for one case in the USA, a case where you have the details wrong, by the way.

So true. So many people forget that Apple sued Samsung all over the world, and only in the US did they win. Everywhere else the case was thrown out.

Really? You think this will have record breaking sales? The S3 will go down by $100 because of this new model, and even with the abysmal battery life that one has, the S4 is going to be even worse. 2600mA or not. RRP will be $999 for the big one, hardly anything that will create sales records when you can have the S3 for half that or less. The slight bump in specs is hardly worth the money, the rest is software, easily ported to the S3 or even S2.

But the S3 also did not come close to the sales of the iPhone, no handset ever did.

Considering the hype around this presentation, this was a big let down.

Android 4.03 is total crap, my second phone is an LG L5 and it is pure trash...
I really hopes 4.22 will be much better, otherwise i will searchfor an old 3GS for my second number. i have an iPhone 5 as a main number and i tough having also Android would be cool... great error.

What makes you say Apple is going downhill? I have a S3 and there is hardly anything that it can do that would make an iPhone user ashamed. It's a great phone, but it's a totally different experience compaired to iOS. The S3 is packed with features that I haven't use even once or have not looked at after trying it for one time. It certainly has its advantages over iOS (lots more options) but the same goes for iOS over Android (integrated feel, smoothness). The only thing Apple needs to do is do some redesigning of it's OS. Give it a fresh but still familiar look. Do some tweaking but keep it very clean and simpel.

And they are still king when it comes to computers.

Not really. Atm Apple won 12 and "lost" (no penalty) 4. Only difference around the world is, that no one gives those phantasy compensations like in the US.

Your choice of android phone was the big error...optimus L5....really?

Sounds like the iPhone 5 launch

If there were no leaks of the iPhone 5 previous to the launch you would not have said that.

The iPhone 5 was a stunning redesign.

 I'd love to be in your head.

Now what would the reviews have said if this device had been released by Apple?

I suspect they'd be accused of losing the plot and shipping out a plasticky prototype instead of a finished product.
