- Nearly Edge-to-edge display, across the width, with black (or white) "chin" above and below the screen.
- Flat front face with rounded corners and a single button below the screen
- Metal wrap-around edge band
Haha, you are joking right?

27.4 million during Q4 2012.
First result on Google. First. Please don't embarrass yourself.
Um factually the Galaxy line itself last year was way beat in terms of units sold by Same-sungs own devices DESPITE fire sale two for specials - seasonal discounting etc etc etc.. And that's after their Next Big Thing Campaign -- um reality check...
Its still a year old. Jelly bean is incremental not a full update like 2.2 to 4.0. He is right.
So? He was referring to pixel density and nothing more. A pentile can still be 'retina', even with washed-out colors.
No he's not.
Well because just because I want a bigger screen, it doesn't mean I want to throw everything else I love about the iPhone away:
Better design
Better build quality
Better OS
Better Apps
etc etc
I was embarrassing to watch. Like a bad middle school play.
And as gimmick as everything in the Galaxy 4 is... Siri is, too, extremely gimmick.
Both iPhones and Android phones are not revolutionary. Maybe because there is nothing left to revolutionize with a phone. Or maybe because there is no one willing to go the extra mile instead of playing it safe. But it's hard to criticize Android without throwing a very similar complaint against Apple...
Screen is way too big for a phone. Also, no device needs 441 ppi - overkill.
Then how would you characterize Steve Jobs performances? Kindergarten play? He started this cheesy trend. Samsung has just perfected it. In fact they made it a little entertaining (for non geeks).

Those are subjective, for example, I loved the 4/4S design but the 5 looks like a cheap piece of crap and feels like a fisher price toy. The GS3 (and I presume the GS4) have a better design and build quality. The plastic Samsung uses is a better quality build than the anodized aluminum apple does. The smaller bezel and less stretched look on the GS4 makes it the prettier phone too.
I think its about time I upgraded my TV then, my sony was top of the range when I bought it.
Some of the camera features were available in apps on the iPhone before, like Couplett released over a year ago. And it works on 3 generations of iPhones, and the last 2 generations of every iOS device. Samsung may need the Octa-core just to keep the poor programming running smoothly. There is a reason they didn't allow the reviewers to run benchmark apps on it.- 5" display, 1080p display in a package SMALLER than the original S3.
- World's first handset with an Octa-core CPU.
- Better camera, with features never seen in a phone.
- World's first handset with LTE Roaming.
Explain to me how this is an S progression?

Apples iPhone 5 smartphone model shipped an estimated 27.4 million units worldwide during the fourth quarter of 2012, Strategy Analytics analyst Neil Shah said. The iPhone 5 captured an impressive 13 percent share of all smartphones shipped globally and it has become the worlds best-selling smartphone model for the first time ever.
The firm estimates that Apple shipped an additional 17.4 million iPhone 4S models in the fourth quarter, representing 8% of total global smartphone shipments.
I had one of the first iPhones, and it was a thing of wonder. I got the iPhone 4, and the screen amazed me.
And then... nada.
Apple has done little except bore me for years now.
The S III is a fraction of iPhone 5 sales? How do you know? (Well, it's clear to anyone that it's not a fraction...)
Please, can anyone tell me how many of the iPhone 5 model that Apple has sold? Apple hasn't released any actual sales numbers since we were told that 5 million was sold in the first three days.
Remember all those reports about Apple cutting orders for iPhone 5 screens a while ago? You know what Apple didn't release to refute those reports? Sales numbers.
5" for a phone is just ridiculous for me.
Too small as smartphone and I would like to avoid using 2 items.
I suppose I will wait for note 3 but it is still 6 months from now :/

Sure dude. Then when Apple releases one you'll be all like "Wow guys, I like all this space on my screen guys!"

PS - the above rant comes after watching Engadget's hands on review, then reading it, then reading the comments then reading the comments on other S4 articles and finally this post at Macrumors. If the S4 didn't upgrade every single component of the S3 and manage to put it in a smaller form factor AND have industry leading specs in many areas (highest res screen, most storage available, highest ram, etc) then I would start believing all the trashing of it. But since it does, it makes me think we are dealing with rabid fanboyism and extreme hyperbole.
