When will us apple fan boys learn to take defeat graciously
I see things differently from you.
2 years ago, I would say that iOS was CLEARLY the leader over Android. Now, I can say they're fairly even. Android wins some, iOS wins some.
I love the simplicity of my iPhone. For example, I can take pictures of my daughter having fun at the amusement park, and my parents can view them within seconds later right on their TV through their Apple TV. It's all automatic. No going through menus to send pictures, nothing on my end, nothing on their end.
For doing things like this, it's great being in the iOS ecosystem. And don't tell me that I can install this app here, and get a Roku and install that app there, etc. etc. The simple act of buying an Apple TV and iPhone, everything WORKS, and I can move on with my life. Until Android has that, it's not a winner.
There are things I envy about Android. For example, icons that change. I would like iOS icons to show me the ACTUAL WEATHER, instead of it always being sunny and 73 degrees. One icon works this way - the calendar icon. But none of the others do. Like the text message icon could show in small letters WHO is texting you, not just the NUMBER of texts.
But there is not enough of the 'wow' features in Android to make me move compared to the joy of being in the iOS ecosystem. When there is something in Android that tilts the playing field significantly in their favor, I would have no problem moving to Android. I'm not married to iOS. It's what I choose right now, because for ME it's better RIGHT NOW.
