LOL. Apple gets the Foo Fighters....THE FOO FIGHTERS. And Samsung has this sad spectacle? Clearly one is better than the other.

Samsung rented out Radio City Music Hall. Apple used their usual "home theater"

Please - you want to split hairs? Like with phones - different strokes for different folks.

I never liked Phil Schiller, I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but he lacks charisma and confidence. Had he waited a little longer before opening his big mouth, the SG4 would've shipped with Android 4.1, I bet you Samsung pushed 4.2.2 to prove Apple wrong, and guess what? It worked.

Someone posted this "S4 vs iPhone 5" video:

YouTube: video

Waving GeekBench scores around "mine's bigger than yours" aside the iPhone 5 just looks embarrassed being next to that Galaxy piece of junk.

The S4 looks like one of those body builders on steroids with the fake orange tan!

And those covers? WTF? Are they made out of paper?
JUNK!

Here we go again, comparing GHz specs. Higher Hz do not make for a better User Experience, nor does it mean it's faster.

Still not sure why people still say Samsung is junk because of the plastic. I actually have no issues with it being plastic. Most people like myself use a case so does it really matter. Dropped my phone a few times...and thankfully no problems.

Ugh, no. Do you really think Samsung is going to update their phone within days of reading an interview when the phone is shipping next month and should be in the last weeks of DVT? No. That's not how software is certified.

4.2 is a year old
4.2.2 is just a point update with some patches.

that's like saying iOS 6.1.2 is a new OS and not 6 months old

the nexus 4 fans stay up all night worrying about being on the absolute latest patch level. normal people don't care

Let's look at your posts today:

---------
How is the iPhone 5s better than this ?

---------

This is pretty simple for anyone to get..

If this were about palm or windows phone Phil - this pompous person - would not even lift a finger to respond.

He's worried.

Apple loyalist or Samsung android? Seems you have no life other than to post as a Samsung fandroid in Apple fanboy clothing. You are not fooling anyone.

I have an iPhone 5 genius

Uh huh, so did you know the GS4 (and the HTC, Sony and LG flagships for the poster above) have 2.85x the pixel density of a iPhone 5.

Good thing Apple doesn't boast about pixel density. :)

Totally separate idea, any speculation if these flagships will be turning into Windows RT tablets in the coming year?

2.85X the pixel density?

This thread makes for enjoyable reading!

I've had iPhones, I currently have the S3. The S4 doesn't have anything that makes me want to buy it, so I most probably won't.

It has a load of features that I don't understand and a load more that I will probably turn off and never use.

Apple is better for some, Android for others, Windows and BB for a few. I'll choose the one that I like at the time.

I think you should all do the same and, for your own sakes, cease this endless bicker about which is the best.

But in the meantime, I'm going to carry on wondering why all these phones have numerous niche/pointless features but not one of them seems to have mastered that age old problem - not actually being able to properly hear the person on the other end of the damn line.

When will us apple fan boys learn to take defeat graciously

I see things differently from you.

2 years ago, I would say that iOS was CLEARLY the leader over Android. Now, I can say they're fairly even. Android wins some, iOS wins some.

I love the simplicity of my iPhone. For example, I can take pictures of my daughter having fun at the amusement park, and my parents can view them within seconds later right on their TV through their Apple TV. It's all automatic. No going through menus to send pictures, nothing on my end, nothing on their end.

For doing things like this, it's great being in the iOS ecosystem. And don't tell me that I can install this app here, and get a Roku and install that app there, etc. etc. The simple act of buying an Apple TV and iPhone, everything WORKS, and I can move on with my life. Until Android has that, it's not a winner.

There are things I envy about Android. For example, icons that change. I would like iOS icons to show me the ACTUAL WEATHER, instead of it always being sunny and 73 degrees. One icon works this way - the calendar icon. But none of the others do. Like the text message icon could show in small letters WHO is texting you, not just the NUMBER of texts.

But there is not enough of the 'wow' features in Android to make me move compared to the joy of being in the iOS ecosystem. When there is something in Android that tilts the playing field significantly in their favor, I would have no problem moving to Android. I'm not married to iOS. It's what I choose right now, because for ME it's better RIGHT NOW.

It's mind-boggling when you look at the list of features... I wonder how many an average user would actually make use of?

Got to admit, I'm impressed with the specs... but then I remember it runs android and I really didn't care for that OS when I tried it.

The good: Apple will have to catch up for the i6
The bad: So many more stupid commercials.

how so? i dont recall apple using lame actors to do stupid kitchy sketches. no, it's always been steve, phil, and others on stage talking about what they built. simple. classy.

Yes it was Steve trying to be theatrical. Using "magical" and "revolutionary" all over his speech (the language that does not normally belong to technical presentations). Those were (still are) media events and media was eating this stuff up. Now Samsung one upped Apple in this department. Eventually it will all die out and we will be back to sane tech product introductions.

Does the battery last more than 3 hours unlike a couple of my friends and my grandfather's galaxy phones?
