What in particular is wrong with Tizen on the Gear S3?

That's very nice of you to ask. Grilled chicken marinated in Moroccan herbs, on a bed of rice with a side salad garnish. How about your good self?

Ehhh, it's not as stable and easy to use as watchOS. It doesn't look as refined. Just like nothing wrong with Windows, but it's a tier below OS X.

Sounds delicious!! Did you make it yourself? I had a Greek platter; bloody fantastic falafel balls.

Honest question... what do you find unstable about Tizen?
I've been using a Gear S2 for almost a year now and it's been rock solid on performance, where my Series 1 AW, likes to randomly freeze and power off for no reason.
I use both watches regularly, just depends one what I'm doing as to which one I put on.
As for refinement, both have their strong and weak points visually.
I find the rotating bezel on the S2 easier to use for navigation over the crown on the AW.

I liked the original Gear S watch and still have mine. These new watches don't interest me again this year and Tizen once again insures lack of developer support.

Why is this a MacRumor?

I may stand alone on this, but I hate comments like this.

Why are iPhones on "MAC"Rumors, or Homepods, iPods, iOS, apple watches, etc. If you wanna go literal, nothing but Macs should based on the name.

If you wanna say {Homepods, iPads, etc are mentioned} because it's part of Apple, then someone can say {Samsung etc} is mobile related and provide competition, relevant against Apple, etc.

We can stretch these justifications however far we need to, to make a point in either direction. It shouldn't exist on the site or it should exist.

So...

Why care? You don't own, distribute or control the content for MacRumors, so leave it alone, if you don't wanna read it, don't.

You can say it's on their site "because they wanted to" and they found it interesting enough to report on.

As someone that owns both an Apple Watch and Gear S3, this is complete and utter nonsense. The UI of the Gear S3 is 100x better than Apples Watch UI. Having the rotating bezel is 'what works' and is 'intuitive'. Apples UI is far from intuitive and the crown is no where near as easy to use.
Where the Gear S3 fails is using S Voice and lack of apps. If they had more 3rd party apps for things like Airlines, and they dumped S Voice for Bixby or Google Assistant, Apple Watch wouldn't even be a close second.

I give you the right to feel this way. I feel the opposite. However, thank you for supporting competition which makes both firms better.

I haven't used one in a while, so updates may have changed the game. My S1 AW is occasionally slow but never freezes or powers off. Do a reset or store visit. Design-wise, the bezel looks worse than crown to me, but may be more accurate/easy.

Sorry, but the airpods look like some bodily fluid is hanging out of your ear a la the movie, Something about Mary. They make the wearer look utterly ridiculous.

Right... 100x... Ahuh. Only in your mind; which is OK I guess. We all have opinions.

Anybody with an unbiased opinion, that owns both, will tell you the same thing. The rotating bezel is by far the more intuitive and easiest method to interact with a smart watch. That is just fact at this point. Sorry if the truth bothers you or you feel that this somehow diminishes your choice of getting the Apple Watch.

And nowhere did I say the Apple Watch is junk. I wear mine daily. It's just that the UI is far from intuitive

Dropped my Gear Fit 2 on the floor and smashed the screen :(

Had to go back to my Sony Smartwatch 3. Tizen is night and day above Android Wear in my opinion.

Going to buy the Gear Sport - Just wish they would announce a release date and price!
