CEO: “We kinda screwed ourselves when we made fun of their headphone jack removal. Now what will we do...?!?”

Bob: “...Let’s make fun of the color of their text message bubbles!”

CEO: “...excellent idea, Bob!!!”

*gives Bob a raise*

I feel like that green bubble bursting out of that poor blue bubble's back is not sending the message they're trying to...

Green bubbles: a living cancer?
More like a virus, as Android is prone to. Maybe this is Samsung suggesting that they are a virus themselves.

This might be the first Apple feature Samsung have mocked that they _can't_ turn around and copy later. FINALLY.

Apple fanboys have a special hate for Samsung. For what reason, I don't know. Funny how OnePlus and Google (Pixel ads) has been advertising against the iPhone since forever, and nobody makes a stink about it.

That snake eating the balloons is wonderfully animated.

Have a sensible chuckle, move on, and forget this exists. That's about all the energy this deserves.

The one plugged in is weird.

I'm embarrassed at all the posts treating this like some kind of religious war.

Don’t think the green peasants can even send images over 64k, much less animated gifs. Lol

I like these. Actually making fun of something that is worth making fun of and it’s not insulting like many of their other ads. I wish more corporate competition was this light hearted.

Apple early on offer the protocol to be a standard but was rejected by google and others so they went their own way.
I think you’re mixing that up with FaceTime, which Jobs promised would be an open industry standard during its presentation in 2010 (it still isn’t):

I wish people used iMessage here in Europe, it’s all WhatsApp, it doesn’t matter if you are on iPhone or Android.

Honestly, those are brilliant and funny, just like Apple ads of yore. Unlike some other pretentious ads.

As a European, it's hard for me to relate to this mind boggling non-issue. If people won't reply to me because they consider me inferior due to phone brand I use, all the better. I don't need such douches in my life. Also, do people still think iPhones are a status symbol? You know you can get them with plans and no upfront payment? I know people who starve the last few days of each month but boast new iPhone XS (sadly, no MacBooks because even with financing those are too pricey for such personas).

The absolute state of western civilization..

In Germany everyone just uses What's App. No one cares what kind of phone the other person has.

European here too. Everyone uses WhatsApp and I hate it.

The green and yellow colors look like they have been eaten before. the functionality is limited. It’s Facebook owned!! Why does no one seem to care? And they still don’t have an iPad version!?

I push for telegram or iMessage.

So are SMS and MMS free to send in the US or why do you have group chats using them? In Europe it's all WhatsApp etc. and it's partly because they are free to use. I only use iMessage with my parents.

Green bubbles are for losers. I've read profiles on dating sites where girls have said don't even bother if you're a green bubble guy.

It’s awfully nice of them to be so upfront about the issue. If I were in the market so to say, I’d appreciate such a quick filter for petty and superficial people. I prefer women who are not outsourcing their thinking and decision-making to their friends.
