With 4 GB RAM, I assume that their Android kernel is 64-bit. Are they now supporting 64-bit apps? Are there any?
When asking two friends what phone they have:
Friend one: iPhone 6+
Friend two: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+
Samsung naming tactics is a tongue twister
Do Intel and the other OEMs also still make computers without those features removed?Bad trend? Maybe from your viewpoint but there are a lot of people who view that otherwise.
Did you not even hear what was just said to you?It isn't the look of the icons but rather the user interface which copies Apple's small circular icons.
Typical deflection. Reeks of fanboy that. You deliberately ignored what was in front of you and took the conversation somewhere else.So what, you joined today on a Mac forum just to praise Crapsung's glories? Why are you here??? No one but a Crapsung employee would even know OR care what those phones were named or where they were released. Considering the sheer volume of garbage-phones they have released each year for the last several years, they have probably used an entire thesaurus worth of names.

My safari is fine, let's not get into spec wars..
This post screams fanboy to me.
In the one example you include the brand name, in the other you don’t. You should have said either;
Friend one: Apple iPhone 6+
Friend two: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+
or;
Friend one: iPhone 6+
Friend two: Galaxy S6 Edge+
Do Intel and the other OEMs also still make computers without those features removed?
Except the iPhone doesn't have multitasking.
My Safari auto-refreshes like a mofo, both in my iPad Mini 2 and in my iPhone 6+. The 2gb RAM upgrade was needed like 2 years ago already!
"Only slight RAM increase from the S6 Edge's 3GB"?
That is a good 33% increase going from 3 GB to 4GB while Apple it seems stays in on 1 GB.
Why play down the specs MacRumours?
I don't think any one here interested in the next iPhone would want to stay at 1GB. Certainly not me as I watch all my Safari tabs reload every time I switch apps.
I don't get it. So for the Note 4 they had the Note 4 and the Note Edge. And for the Note 5 they have the Note 5 and the S6 Edge+? Why isn't that one a Note Edge as well?
Is the Samsung using a 64-bit kernel now?
What about 64-bit apps? Do they exist for the Samsung? How is the distribution handled? I've seen nothing on the more interesting technical aspects. 64-bit processors have been used in a few Android phones for a while, but, everything still seems 32-bits.
The other thing I was wondering about is whether or not there is a portable unlocked version? Apple has excellent LTE band coverage now with lots of bands covered. Samsung doesn't seem to be doing that, but, I can't really tell what they support on, e.g., gsmarena, or other websites.
The second you resort to party name calling, 2 things occur.. Your opinion becomes invalid as you obviously cannot have a rational discussion.. And 2ndly, you are just telling the world how much you see Samsung as a threat.. If you didn't, you wouldn't give them the time of day, let alone make up childish names...So what, you joined today on a Mac forum just to praise Crapsung's glories? Why are you here??? Surely design is subjective to the individual my friend.. There's no cast iron certainties..Thanks, Samsung paid poster! /s/ *NOT!* Oh, and you were right about one thing, I'll rephrase it for you for accuracy -- 'never will there be a time when Samsung leads the market in physical or software design'.
Oh, I'm still proud of the name Scheissung Crapaxy, and I see their inventions as a threat to my sanity, therefore I stay far away from them. Doesn't stop me from reading about their dropping sales and gloating.And 2ndly, you are just telling the world how much you see Samsung as a threat.. That is the saddest thing I have read all week, one young fella is actually gloating about a billion dollar Corp the other side of the world not selling as many phones as they did last year.. Tell me, how much of Apple's profits did they share with this week? When you realize the answer is zero, have you ever asked yourself why you defend them so much, and hate their business rivals equally.. So sad...Oh, I'm still proud of the name Scheissung Crapaxy, and I see their inventions as a threat to my sanity, therefore I stay far away from them. I love my iPhone 6+ but getting a Galaxy Note 5 next. As a web dev really disappointed at WDC when they had 100 sessions of proprietary programming and only 2 sessions for web programming. Also tired of Apple limiting iOS to only support Safari's engine. Also sick of the Apple's wall of icons UI -- so outdated. Apple's build quality is still excellent though.
I don't see Samsung as a threat, rather as a corrupt imitator. I find this offensive. Too bad for you if you find me irrational and you draw the wrong conclusions based on my statements. I did not create the term "crapsung" - you will find it ALL over the web, including on Android forums.The second you resort to party name calling, 2 things occur.. Wow.
I like Sammy's Galaxy S and Note phones a lot (and I'd still buy one over an iPhone in a heartbeat), but the blatant copying is both inexcusable and unnecessary.
The lack of features that made them distinctive (rem. battery, SD slots, waterproofing) is highly disappointing.
What a shame, because these are spectacular devices.
Samsung, sweetie, you don't NEED to copy Apple. Do what they DON'T, and you'll be fine.
Also, it is not deflection to ask why a commenter joins a Mac user forum to sing praises to a Korean chaebol renowned for it's astro-turfing misinformation, corruption, accounting fraud, bribery, and control by a small group of corrupt oligarchs?Typical deflection. Reeks of fanboy that. You deliberately ignored what was in front of you and took the conversation somewhere else.
Instead of even trying to explain yourself with something like;
Oh yeah, my bad - I never knew that. I do think Apples implementation is betetr though, you launch into a ridiculous tirade. My head is spinning so fast I think I’ve gone back in time, (which is what Apple did to get that naming scheme?).
