Samsung is slowly digging their own grave. They had a chance to add these things, but still no SD card slot, still no removable battery, and still smaller battery, all at higher prices.

Powerusers: "Please do not remove these features like in the S6 because we use them."
Samsung: "Ok, we will remove them and add them back for next year."

Ironic that they said in their presentation that they listen to their customers.

With the absence of a removable battery, expandable storage, and waterproofing, you may as well get an iPhone 6 Plus or 6s Plus (when released) instead of this.

Sure, the internals are still better, but the experience with Touchwiz is generally dreadful. iOS does less than Android, but what it does do, it does it perfectly.

Soon we will have a Galaxy (or another Android) phone coming in at 7.9". And then people will scream....well, I dont really know what they will scream. I may be in the minority but a 5.7" phone is pushing the phablet limits to .... just tablet.

According to Engadget's preview, Samsung is copying that last feature as well. Touchwiz is becoming less and less intrusive in each new iteration. Eventually it'll become so streamlined that it'll disappear entirely, leaving users with a pure Android experience!

I'm not particularly an apple fan, but I don't like the design of those handsets

They won't ever add them back.

Why?

Because profits.
