The point is there are many ways to take a photo. On the galaxy there more ways than iphone. And some of those are useful in certain situations.

Using galaxy camera, I can just hold up my palm within camera view, the camera detects it and starts the 3 sec timer to snap the photo.
I think the point is whether you buy a Galaxy or an iPhone you’re going to get a great smartphone. For those of you who like to squabble over the finer details to feel superior in your choice, great.

I mean, are you really arguing over the method for triggering a 3 second timer on your phones camera? Christ on a bike, I can activate the timer via the iPhone, or my Apple Watch. It just seems rather petty to me. I commented earlier how useful the S-Pen remote features were and how impressed I was with the Note 9.

It was a counter argument to your suggestion that it was silly to pay $300 to do the same thing.

The argument isn’t about the pen itself. It’s about using the pen to take pictures. The pen has other uses but so does the watch. Nobody is paying $300 for an Apple Watch just to use it to take pictures.

But the pen comes with the phone :)

The watch doesn't.

I am not doing the arguing. Ifans are. I just stated the pen comes in handy as a camera clicker. I just don't know why the iPhone fans want to dismiss it's usefulness.

Just remind me of those illogical arguments from ifans against having AOD or LED notification or big screen or oled screen or water resistant etc.

For those of us that don’t upgrade every year and lose the best part of £300 or pay £80+ a month to get a contract paid off in 12 months, an Apple Watch every 4 years is quite a cost effective gadget.

For those who don’t have a watch, they can use the 10 sec timer and get the same result.

You made it sound like people buy the note9 for the spen camera clicker :( . That's not the case. The spen clicker is just the icing on the cake. It is something useful that the $1000 iPhone X doesn't come with. Simple as that. Not sure what's there for ifans to dispute.

I think the very reason you are here is to argue and your recent posts all suggest this. Claiming the iPhone is designed for ‘idiots’ and laughing at the fact it doesn’t have certain features etc suggests you enjoy getting a reaction.

Have you not considered we all have the same choices when buying a smartphone and don’t all make the same ones due to personal preference?

I didn’t buy the Apple Watch for the camera feature either and I didn’t suggest people buy the Note for the camera clicker, that claim is a lie. I commented how impressed I was with the S-Pen for use in presentations firstly. I like what Samsung are doing and wish Apple were more creative.

I'm not the perpetrator :) even though I may have contributed to subsequent diatribe.
Go look at the one who triggered that by saying a person cannot focus and has trouble pressing a button :)

You know what gets me about these childish arguments is not just the minutia that know one in there right mind would care about, It's also the subtle and not so subtle Classism that is thrown out there. Look, if you believe a phone makes you a better person or gives you a reason to look down on someone who uses a different phone, God help you.

Let's be honest. Most anyone who does any kind of rational thinking knows that most top line smartphones are ALL really good. Pixel, Essential, IPhone, Galaxy, etc, they are all very good. Secondly, most humans on the planet do not even notice or care which brand of phone someone is using. I also don't care what kind of car you're driving or what the make of your shoes is. WHO CARES.

Is it possible to argue a point without resorting to trashing the other person or item. This goes for both sides. Apple and Samsung users are both very guilty of this. Tit for tat with the tat getting increasingly off topic and in the words of our president, STUPID.
