Great. You can keep snapping crappy pictures because you can’t focus because youre trying to do two things at once. What android fans think of innovation makes me laugh.

If you are too used to idiot/child proof iPhone eventually it does become too complicated to press a button

I can keep snapping if I so wish via my Apple Watch though. Not sure if that wins any points in this tit for tat contest or not though?
IF you have an iwatch..IF you are wearing it...IF you are not holding the phone in the other hand...yeah

More on this... the other day I was using my friend's 8+ to snap selfie..I was so surprised it doesn't support using palm gesture to trigger snap...is the iPhone camera software so archaic?

Okay I’ll play. If you are so used to having to press a pen to snap a photo, that is exactly how the result will turn out. As opposed to the artistic “idiot proof” phone.

I always have my Apple Watch on. The only time I take it off is when I’m sleeping, having a shower or doing the washing up.

Vs this.

This is just embarrassing.

Let's see. You need to buy a $300 watch to do that. Hilarious indeed.

Most of us already have the watches for other functions.

Remember we are in a Mac forum ;).

Since I got the ceramic Apple Watch...$300 is a small price to pay for not being “that guy”.

What guy? Oh that guy. That guy looks like a user who has not use a Note and BT device before. So he will still hold out his hand in front even when he is wearing a watch :p

The example looks backwards.

If I were using a camera to take a photo of myself from a distance, why wouldn't I be using the rear camera, which would allow me to take better quality photos compared to the front camera?

And if I were to use the rear camera, the Apple Watch as the advantage here, as I would be able to see in the watch face how I would appear in the camera, and adjust myself accordingly.

With the Note 9, I have no such luxury. I will either have to assume I am positioned correctly, or flip the phone around so I can see myself in the screen, which means I can't use the rear camera.

So if you ask me, iPhone's rear camera + Apple Watch > Note 9's front camera + stylus.

That guy was a reviewer from the verge.

So reviewers from the verge and phones arena don’t know how to use a phone or a bt device.

Speechless

So you are a blind following the blind?

Do you need to hold up the pen in front? No.

Can you hold the pen in front? Yes, if you want to :p

No need for personal attacks.

I wasn’t one that said tech reviewers from the verge and phone arena, didn’t know how to handle a phone or a bt device, that was you.

Personally I’m getting the iPhone X plus.
No idea why you think I would want a note 9.

No you don’t need to hold the pen up front....but almost all reviewers are. And they look quite foolish doing it.

Anyway. Enjoy your device

Anybody who owns an Apple Watch usually has it on and if selfies are their thing then I doubt they’d be incapable of snapping one. I’ve never heard of ‘palm gesture’ to be honest? I’ve always used the button on the side of the phone as that’s where I’m gripping it.

You’re clearly never going to like anything about an iPhone so I don’t know why you waste your time worrying about it.

I always have my Apple Watch on. The only time I take it off is when I’m sleeping, having a shower or doing the washing up.
Are you seriously saying you’ve never needed to take a picture via your Apple Watch whilst asleep or with your hands in a big bowl of mild green fairy liquid?! Goodness me lady you’ve clearly never lived...

The point is there are many ways to take a photo. On the galaxy there more ways than iphone. And some of those are useful in certain situations.

Using galaxy camera, I can just hold up my palm within camera view, the camera detects it and starts the 3 sec timer to snap the photo.

That’s the most logical way to hold it. It’s like a remote afterall.

My iPhone and Apple Watch combined cost less than a Note 9. See how goalposts can move and get even more ridiculous as none of us buy the exact same things? At least an Apple Watch is less likely to be left on a cafe table lol.
The pen costs $1,000 so that argument fails.

But how many of those ways are actually useful? Easy to use? Not cumbersome and slow you down?

How’s that worse than a $1,000 pen?

Just curious, when you wrote this, did you really think it was a sensible counter point?

Anyway, all the counter arguments from some iPhone fans to dismiss the usefulness of the bt pen is just grasping air, imo. Its purpose is not only just to take picture.

BTW: you can buy those few bucks BT camera clicker to do the same.

It was a counter argument to your suggestion that it was silly to pay $300 to do the same thing.

The argument isn’t about the pen itself. It’s about using the pen to take pictures. The pen has other uses but so does the watch. Nobody is paying $300 for an Apple Watch just to use it to take pictures.
