-yeah the lack of widgets on iOS has really put a dent on Apple sales
-yes, because iOS browsing is crippled without flash
-yes, because you swap out your 5 SD cards daily
-huh?

Well for one - Samsung is shipping more phones than Apple. Yes - I said shipped as to not be misquoted, etc. So For ever person buying one - they are not buying Apple. Are Apples sales (or profits) hurting - definitely not. But they would be selling more if people did not choose Android.

Second point - technically - yes - although I would never use the word crippled as that implies a much harsher reality. That reality is that iOS does limit - no matter how much or little - what you can and can't see on the web.

Third point - I have no idea who swaps what. I do know that it's a great OPTION to be able to expand your device's memory without having to buy - a new device.

So I'm not sure what your point was other that to try to invalidate the previous OP with nonsense.

To bad they have to have all that writing in the back side. I would love to just have the iPhone and nothing else, since I have yet to ever put a case on mine. Glass is just to cool to hide from the world :)

True story. The Samsung Galaxy S II can take a fall, even land on the glass, and not break. Game over with the iPhone 4/4S.

Apple continues to shatter every record known to man, and posts record profits quarter after quarter year after year...if people are leaving iOS for widgets, that's cool...clearly, that's not the case.

Second, browsing is fine. If it was so limited that it was a problem there would be only two reasons for Apple's continued success: 1) No one gives a damn about flash, or 2) iOS users are sheep. The people who choose number 2 are also the ones who are lucky enough to always buy android devices that have never had a single problem ever!

Third, its a feature that spec heads go crazy over and the average consumer doesn't care or probably even know about. Again, if it was something that limited the enjoyment of a phone that would be reflected in sales. It's not. Anyone who thinks that even 1% of android users are swapping out their SD cards all the time to get access to all those 32GB of data that they need at all times at their fingertips should buy the bridge I'm selling, I'll give you a discount.

I understand you don't know what my point was. Being easily confused is not an alien thing to you.

Today's a new day - and I'm not going to get sucked into this again. Suffice to say - you missed the point I was making. Apple is breaking all records. And that's great. However to deny (not saying YOU are so no need to jump on that statement) that Samsung is not doing something right is just wishful thinking. Samsung is clearly compelling to many people who do not want an iPhone for whatever reason that may be.

And only someone naive (again - not YOU specifically) would believe that iPhone sales aren't hurt - at all- by Android sales. Most people have one phone. That means for every phone Apple sells - the competition doesn't. And vice-versa. It's not like jeans or shirts where people buy multiple manufacturers and/or form different stores.

You (and this IS directed to you) were given a list of items that differentiate Android phones and tried unsuccessfully (in my opinion) to negate them as not important. Perhaps they aren't to you. But clearly such options are of some value to others. Whether it's the browser, expandable memory, replaceable battery, widgets, whatever. Doesn't matter. Some people want those choices.

Cheers.

ETA: regarding yesterday's discussion and today's - there's something you should know. I RARELY use the voting up and down - I find it silly. The times I've used it is to give someone a +1 when I agree with what they are saying but have nothing to really add. I don't give a thumbs down because if I don't agree - I'll either ignore it, or I'll reply. Simple as that.

Sorry but that's just bull. I have a three year old and a ten month old who have dropped my phone on our laminate ground many times and I don't even have a crack or chip on my phone. In fact, just the other day i accidentally put my foot on my phone and dragged it of the coffee table. I understand that I am pretty lucky but it's definitely not as if the iPhone 4/4S are going to explode at a moments notice.
