I was going to compliment them on the original design of the shop (if that was even possible for Samsung) then I saw the smart cases for tablets in the background. NOPE nope...nope.

BBY is up 50% since the first of the year. How is AAPL doing?
Do people still shop at Apple?

I think so yeah, not sure though.

Sorry if this has been stated already but if I was apple, I would pull all my products out of best buy barring a contractual obligation. Lets face it, BB is going to go out of business. In fact, if it wasn't for Apple having their products in their stores they might already be out of business. Pull apple products out and cut the head off the snake of best buy. Best buy needs apple a lot more then apple needs best buy.

So your saying Apple is the only reason BB is still in business!

Can they explain that crappy Samsung phone I had before my iPhone or help me with my Samsung TV that broke twice the first 1.5 years I had it?

You must of had a lemon, Ive had two Samsung TV's for the last 5 years with no issues. I think when it comes to TV's nobody touches Samsung in terms of quality and reliability. As for their phones, I can't really comment..

OMG I cant believe how some people are so blinded and closed minded. All you do is keep repeating crap like..oh now they are coping Apple...without Apple blah blah blah..your like robots. Even when someone throws out a valid point about how Samsung has already had this in other places..or that Sony has had this before Apple...you ignore the facts...

Sources? Or is this speculation and/or wishful thinking and/or blind and irrational hating on a company?

Looks like a mock mini Apple store inside of a Best Buy

Corrective lenses can help you with that Myopia.

Next we'll see Samsung opening their own stores in the likeness of Apple's and Microsoft's. ;)

Not sure how the rest of the Android manufacturers will react but that should be a major slap to their faces. It would benefit HTC, Motorola (Google), and the rest to band together in the face of Samsung going solo.

How exactly would they pull off this cabal you speak of? Would it be like the Avengers or the Justice League/ :D

Asians are only good at copying...

Seeing as most of what you are wearing and probably all your gadgets are made by Asians should tone down the racial slurs a notch.

I've got 2 Samsung tvs and they are now going on for 5 years old. Not a glitch to be had. There are always lemons from every manufacturer.

Not much quicker. I can usually get overnight delivery from Amazon for $4 with my Prime membership. And unlike Best Buy, I can see reviews and comparisons from the comfort of my home.

You must be new here.

...

Oh, you are new. Welcome!

Meh, I go to Best Buy with my phone, see the review and comparisons on the phone. Buy product.

I'll be enjoying my product while you're still checking the UPS tracking from the comfort of your home the next day.

Best Buy is still relevant and useful. It also serves the want to have it now crowd.

Let's put aside the "Apple vs Samsung" debate for a moment... can anyone else see future stores being nothing but company stores? Best Buy is turning into a mall-within-a-mall.

Sure seems that way.

They should just cut to the chase and all Best Buy's should sell out to Amazon and become local Amazon warehouses for same day pickup.

It's not hard to believe when you see such a deluge of Apply copying out there. It's the norm for Apple to be copied and it has been for a while. This looks like much the same. Just like the Microsoft stores, and smart phones, and OS uniformity, MP3 players, app stores . . . .

Good Ill be sure to change every device to Chinese so no one will want to buy them because they won't be able to try them. Apple should pay me! :D

Really? Have a Samsung DVD player that I got in 2002 that is still working in mint condition. Samsung 50 inch TV since 2010 no problems. Samsung AC that stays on pretty much all day from the months of march to October and no problems.

Samsung appliances are pretty solid and well made.

My MacBook I brought bak in July died after 2 weeks. It was a lemon but I don't say apple laptops are crap. Because they are not.

The last original idea the Koreans came up with are cooking your food on the table you dine on.
Then again they probably got the idea from the Japanese who got it from the Germans :D

Don't forget Gangnam style... and strangely I love kimchi, although my wife would never kiss me for 24 hours after eating it.

I used to think that about a lot of places. Now, there is no bookstore with in 10 miles of me. And I live in a DC suburbs.

The only B&M stores, that I can think of, that is in no fear of getting boarded up are Walmarts. Best Buy is NOT useful enough to get me to spend 30-100% more in there than online. And based on their sales figures, the same can be said of A LOT of people.

I used to work for Best Buy a while back. They'll sell out to any company willing to give them money. It's amazing how they would push a product one week, then the next week, that product is "not as important as this one".

All that company cares about is numbers and pushing whatever products a company gives them spiffs for. They don't care about the customer, they care about is meeting their numbers by whatever means possible (which is why they hound you all day long for their "services")

In the UK, we call that business :p

Don't know how it is in the US but here in AU I've been to several different retailers and tried to use other tablets only to find no WiFi connection. Turn around to the Apple stand and check the iPad and bingo I'm online.

I was told at the different stores that Apple pays for the WiFi for the Apple products and others don't which from a consumer POV is giving Apple a free kick as people can more fully test the iPad and other devices while being frustrated with no WiFi for the Android and PC stuff. It's not that case in all stores as I did get a touch screen AIO PC connected the other day (different store) but weirdly I had to find the connection myself.

I do wonder how long before Sansung will do these here in Australia, or indeed other manufactures?

In the future if we still have retail stores we might go in and find it segregated not by product type but by manufacture!
