But you have to admit, this is the first time an Android phone has received this much attention from a lot of us iPhone users. You have no idea how shocked my friends are that I am actually moving from my 3GS to an Android phone and not even waiting for the iPhone 5. I rode the iPhone train for as long as I felt it was the most smoothest running device.
The SGS2 is simply devastating. I've spoke with die hard iphone users who have made the switch with no remorse, and I am confident I will be more than pleased. As I said, if I could only use one word to describe this phone, it would be.... Devastating.
It's funny how androids have got this one straw to grasp, when it happens to all phones, even .... Androids!
Here, let me make a joke out of that comment; it's funny how iFans have got this one, single phone to grasp, and they have no alternative iPhone to choose, unless it is an outdated model.
I just want to tell you that this is merely a light-hearted joke - don't take it personally![]()
oh, not at all. that the latest and greatest androids can't compare to a ten month old iphone? priceless.
This just ups the coolness factor of this phone.
Devastating.
This phone is so good that it has Apple very worried. Why else would they sue their no. 1 supplier?
Really? another SGS2 thread?
No...its not. It happened with the Nexus One, HTC Desire, Droid Incredible, Droid X, Galaxy S, Atrix, Inspire, Thunderbolt etc etc
I moved from the 3GS to the HTC desire and after 6 months moved back to an iPhone 4. From personal experience, the grass isn't greener on the other side of the fence...
You forgot about the EVO!
Anyway, i guess i'm not helping by posting this. But guys.. Just ignore these threads and don't post on them, don't feed the trolls and they'll die down. Yes i think the "Apple, Industry etc." forum is the best place to discuss this, not here.
Yeah you're right. Most of the time the grass isn't greener on the other side..
Trolls don't go away. Samsung pays them good money to keep bumping topics.![]()
... Because the no. 1 supplier blatantly copied the look of the iPhone. Just because Samsung supplies a lot of parts does not mean they get a pass for ripping of Apples hard work.
You know, I was mostly enjoying reading comparisons on the phones (I don't mind posts about other phones here, it's nice to see *reasonable* discussion on them vs. the iphone) but I have to agree, it's getting a bit much and you had to start *another* thread?
You already started one on this!
I idly mused that maybe Samsung was paying people to go around gushing about their phones when some one else made the observation that there is a lot of talking about this phone on another thread (I think it wasn't even a thread dedicated to the Samsung phone). Now I'm starting to think maybe I'm right (I notice, OP, that you just joined in March). And don't call me crazy to think that this happens. Here's a website for you to be hired to do exactly that: http://www.payperpostforum.com/. So it happens (no idea if Samsung does it, but yeah, these days posts on forums are suspect cause of this. Which is why I think it is a really scuzzy idea. You can't even trust that people on forums aren't being paid to give you opinions they're paid to say).
Anyways, OP, whether you are paid or just really like the phone, this isn't doing your cause any good. At this point yeah, I've noticed there is a Samsung phone out and cause of the fact that you and others have felt like spamming (cause I'm sorry, two threads from the same person about the same phone is spamming, really, do we need multiple threads on the same phone on a forum that's not dedicated to that phone?!) about this phone makes it a huge turn off.
It's like those sales guys who won't let you say no that make you decide that you aren't going to get their product just cause they're so frikkin obnoxious about it that you don't want to encourage them.
Eh? You base your judgements of technology upon comments on a forum? Maybe not the best way...
It's not interesting when one over zealous person keeps making new threads on it when he already had a thread on it. At that point it feels more like trolling.
It's interesting to read people's comments on it. I don't have enough money to go buy every piece of tech or even close to it. I like to see what other people's experiences of it is.
As for me not buying it cause people are annoying about, yeah, I'm sorry, that does leave a bad taste in my mouth and it would color my view of the product. I think I'm mainly annoyed cause OP feels that he must open several threads dedicated to this phone on a forum that's not dedicated to this phone. One is enough!!! We get it, he likes the phone. He started a discussion already. He doesn't need to spam the forum with tons of discussions on it (Now it just feels trollish, of course i bit the bait by replying).

Poor Hal Jordan. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Kids, Hal is the perfect example as to why you should say no to drugs.
I don't understand how people can keep getting excited over every new android phone. It's at best a marginal improvement over the dozens of other android choices, and there will be a new marginally improved king of the hill next week or next month. None of this is to say you shouldn't buy it, but it's nothing revolutionary or amazing. Just the flavor of the month.
