I don't understand how people can keep getting excited over every new android phone. It's at best a marginal improvement over the dozens of other android choices, and there will be a new marginally improved king of the hill next week or next month. None of this is to say you shouldn't buy it, but it's nothing revolutionary or amazing. Just the flavor of the month.

nothing wrong with having a wide choice :p

You evidently didn't use the early (any?) android handsets then?

The improvements are slightly more than "marginal" - you're making Android developers, tech reviewers, members of the public, everyday Android users & many others, appear as if they are easily swayed by hype alone (okay, SOME are).

You say that, and yet I'm almost certain you must have been excited by an Apple release/product at some point during your life, otherwise why would you be here?

Engage brain, before operating keyboard.

Oh, I fully get excited about getting some new tech.

I can completely understand that. I can even understand going to a forum of a "competing" product (I've done that with the car I bought. And I tried to keep any posts I had respectful and on topic to the thread/forum).

But I don't feel the need to go on competitor's forums and gush about it and on top of that come up with what I think are clever ways of insulting names towards the people who like the product the forum is dedicated to. I may go on there to see what they say, but I at least keep it respectful if I feel the need to reply (and I just try not to cause I understand they like their product).

Usually though I just go to a forum that I feel is *appropriate* and gush about the product I like with others who might feel the same (or at least read up on thoughts of it). I mean I don't mind opposing opinions (after all, that's why I would even go to a forum dedicated to some other product, to see what people not biased towards the product might say), long as they can stay respectful and keep it civil and not feel the need to be insulting. I understand your POV, but you have to admit, Hal Jordon didn't just come on here to gush about his product, he's made sure to emphasize he thinks that anyone who likes the iphone is isheep, so he's just as guilty of what you are arguing about as those responding to him (who are *responding* to his tone so you can expect some people are not going to be good enough to stay above his level).

I see your points, and they are valid. Sorry if I came across as being "just another" idiot bloke online :)
