Everyone I know who switched from an iPhone to an Android has regretted it. One did it deliberately for 2 years so he could push back on Fandroids from a position of strength and came away saying it was even more painful than he expected.
Given the high satisfaction rates among iPhone owners (something like 98%), and the lack of any motivation whatsoever for a regular user to take it up - beyond the techno-masochists wanting to make a point - I don't see this being a very successful promotion.
More evidence Samsung just "don't get it."

I am very tempted to do this just because. But I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 when I added a business account, and returned it after 2 weeks and got an iPhone 6S. Very nice phone, but just too much crap on it and the user experience sucks.

Genius thought! I'm ordering one so I can sell my iPhone 5S for max profit right before the next iPhone announcement, then that will hold me over for a week. Lol.

I've been tempted by a Samsung phone in the past but that affair did not last long.

Even if the phone were of the quality of an iPhone (which it is not), it still has Android.
Even if Android were of the quality of iOS (which it is not), there are the privacy issues.
For Android even basic apps preinstalled on iPhones must be had over the Google store and almost all of them demand the private information of my phone records and friends' contact information. No thanks. Maybe if Samsung made iOS phones and sold them for a discount to iPhones (which will likely NEVER happen) I would consider one again. Maybe.

Just completed mine, my iPhone 5 is severely dying. Too many software updates and being 3 years old doesn't help. This trial can hold me till the iPhone 6S comes out. They make you sign up on an iPhone instead of the net, 2 day shipping. I will return mine 4-5 days or so before my 30 day trail ends and get a receipt from UPS or whomever for proof. Will be really interesting.

My buddy signed up and did this at the beginning of the month here in LA. Worked out great because it's not your data and we had no internet the first few days in our new house. Set up the hot spot and surfed the web for 4 days :-D

Pretty sure they put a $400 or $500 hold on his card. According to him he was told he was not responsible if it were to break for any reason (even fall/crack).

He used the newest Edge phone. Cool concept but man did that thing get hot. Screen is beautiful though. Not a fan of Android here so he's still on his iPhone.

Jeez, really. He went Android for two years just to prove a point. I mean seriously, and you believe him?
BTW what on earth do you mean or think is meant by satisfaction rates?

I had an XCover 2 for a while. Didn’t like that either. The bit about demanding details though, what happened - the App or service didn’t work or are you just talking crap and exaggerating?

Just kidding I can't never buy an iPhone. I'm hooked and I just buy them blindly now.
I think a lot of people are like that. This is the problem Apple had early on with their Macs. A lot of Windows users or ordinary people that just listened to them would always say, ‘Oh but they’re too expensive and there is no software for Macs’, which of course isn’t even close to being true, (except the cost bit), and never really was. There was a lot more for Windows but the market had a good selection available for all.

I strongly suspect a lot of users have never even used Android at all, or remotely long enough to make an informed decision.

Part of me is intrigued even though I personally don't like touchwiz or Samsung phones. But that's based on reviews and very limited usage in store so I can't definitively say i wouldn't like it. I'm pretty invested in apple's ecosystem and I was never pleased with my previous experiences with android in the past and I don't see that changing. However it would be something new to check out. Maybe I'll sleep on this...

As long as they don't put a hold on my card I think I will try it. I'll send it back within a week or two to avoid any mess up.

2 minutes playing playing with it at Best Buy was long enough for me...

Out of everything you can do on the phone two minutes sealed it, go to the movies and rate a film after two minutes also do you? Please let me know the next time you try out something new as I think I’d enjoy reading your in depth and impartial world renowned reviews.

6 Edge "Plus", the release moved to a month before iPhone, and now a trial?

Samsung really doesn't know how desperate and beta male they make themselves look right now.

Although, this trial seems enticing. I have been interested in trying out modern Android. No doubt the trial is an effort take some of the iPhone 6S pre-orders.

Wish I had that freedom, I’ll keep a check to see if they bring it over the water. Tell you what though the screen is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Makes the iPhone screen look dull in comparison.

Did anyone select a carrier that is not their carrier? I wanna try the 6edge+ but it's Verizon only and I'm AT&T. Wanna try the bigger phone to see if I want a 6s or 6s+.
