Samsung Launches $1 Trial Program for iPhone Users

Yeah I ordered mine as soon as I saw this macrumors post. When I ordered, they had every phone for every carrier left so I know it went through. My amex was charged 1$ too. But no other emails, Samsung couldn't help and the live chat was useless too.

I ordered shortly after AT&T went out of stock of the Note 5 and Edge+, so I ordered from Verizon. I'm more annoyed that the charge has completely cleared and is not just pending. Normally companies don't charge until the item ships.

Same thing. Charge to card dissapeared so I called them today to (promotions) line and they provided me with the order number "8xx" and said it will ship within 2 days.

And by the way you got it like within minutes from me if you remember the posts.

I ordered right after you, so I'm assuming my order number is higher than yours. And I would assume because we are in the 800s that the orders started at 0 or 100.

For those who haven't been able to order a phone yet, they've updated the promo page again with contact info to be emailed on when phones are available again.

The Shipper Reference on FedEx says "Samsung Trial Program". Hope this helps!

Edit: I just went to the tracking by reference and I typed the reference exactly as I have above. Typed in my zip code and it pulled it right up. Good luck!!

Thank you for this! I got the tracking number-less tracking number email too and wanted to check the status. Tomorrow by 4:30 PM. :) Hopefully it comes with the morning delivery instead. Thanks again.

And I returned it. As I figured, the phone was great. The os SUCKED. Apple needs to bring on the AMOLED screens to the iPhone's like they do their watches. Loved that pen too. But that os...makes you appreciate the simplicity of iOS.

I just purchased a 6+ and it came preinstalled with Garageband, and like 7 other apps that I've never seen preinstalled previously. iMovie and all the rest. I know because in the App Store they were all outdated, and the update sizes on all of them were 100MB+, most 250+ lol.

They come preinstalled on any device that is 64GB+.

Well, that would explain why I've never seen them. Now that they've done away with the 32 and made it 16 or 64, I had to go with 64. Saw a representative recommend the 16 to a lady and I just shook my head. They're practically unusuable at that capacity IMO.

I got my tracking from Fedex Delivery Manager and later emailed from directly from Samsung(or the fulfillment company) on Friday but it didn't have any movement until this evening. It should definitely be here tomorrow.

How do you get FedEx insight to work without a Fedex account # (Paid account). Whenever I try to log into my FedEx insight account it asks for a FedEx account number.
 
I'm really curious to hear the reviews from all of you who got the promotion before they went out of stock. Jealous. :(

I think I'm more curious because it'll be from longtime Apple users. Kind of a risky promotion for Samsung, if the numbers (or reviews) blow up in their face?
 
You know what? If Sammy-Sam is going to push more of their marketing up our asses, I won't accept that. Samsung is an overpriced, over marketed company whose phones are very generic and is centered on gimmicks. Also, I'm not a fanboy. I think Android is better than iOS. But I think that these stupid plastic phones which are more expensive than the iPhone do not deserve to be in existence. It also literally steals EVERYTHING that Apple does. Apple should do the same for their iPhone, but for free.

Only because you were holding it wrong. ;)

I ordered pretty fast, and received a confirmation email. Still no shipping email yet. Be kinda dumb if I have to wait a couple weeks to get the phone, and the 30 day trial started when I signed up.
