Everyone who gets a phone must post their review of it - maybe start a separate thread for this promotion? I'm really curious because I too saw the S6 Edge+ phone in a VZW store and the screen is unrivaled, IMO.

ordered mine thursday, still haven't received any email saying it shipped.

Wow... I got my email Friday morning before I got home from work. It's currently scheduled for delivery Tuesday, despite the message saying it would be delivered today (Sunday).

worked for me here: https://ultimatetestdrive.samsungpromotions.com/show-terms

  • With respect to a Samsung Galaxy S6, the replacement cost shall be Seven Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($720.00);
  • With respect to a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, the replacement cost shall be Eight Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($820.00);
  • In the event the Equipment is returned with a damaged or cracked screen or impaired by water damage, Customer shall be charged One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).

I bet if you crack it and have to "buy" it, they will add it to sales revenue numbers :)
I am evil now but what if close to 30 days they are "programmed" to crack themselves automatically? :))))

Whether you like IOS or Android is fine with me, but how can you seriously call the couple of apps you can't delete from IOS "bloatware"? That's just laughable. Large space hogs? :p

Can't remember if you can delete them or not but stuff like Garageband and other artsy apps are like 350+ MB, Those are large if you only have 16gb on your phone. All I was getting at is ios has bloatware as well. And if you really want to get techy you could root your phone and remove any and all bloat that comes on an Android device.

All I was getting at is ios has its own version of bloatware when someone mentioned only Android has bloatware.

By my definition any app you can't remove is considered bloat and Apple has this.

Yes Apple does have a few "bloat ware" apps, but they are all small. Apps like GarageBand, numbers, pages can all be removed. (I actually don't think they come pre-installed, I believe you simply can download them for free if I remember correctly).

Things like: tips, compass, find my iPhone, podcasts and a few others can't be taken off. They are all small though. :)

I think Samsung should pay me more that I even will think about switching to their devices. 1$ is not enough, my price is way higher that I exchange my iPhone with one of theirs.

Was going to try it out but phones are sold out.

I was thinking i could get samsungs edge plus the years apple makes the crappy s models.then switch back to apple for the 7.

Got to see if i can deal with andriod 1st

I signed up maybe an hour or two after the promo started. Still have received no e-mail on shipping or anything. :(

Thanks for clarifying after I thought about it I do remember being able to remove GarageBand, numbers, and pages from iphone 6.

Long time visitor to the site. Just signed up today. Been an Apple user for years and had nearly every iPhone since the first one. I currently have (had) the 6+ but it had started lagging on me pretty bad. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this Note 5 yesterday. Got it at Best Buy. It's a great phone overall. I can't say anything new that hasn't been said already. Awesome display, great camera, speakers are great. But what kills it for me is that operating system. I knew going in that it would be hard to adjust, but it's so chaotic that it takes away almost all the positives for me. Again, the reason I switched was more because I was growing tired of Apples minor updates year after year while other phones made leaps and bounds. Seems like Apple is just milking their customers money relying on their iOS and core customers. I'm not bashing Apple, trust me. I have a lot of their products and I am about 95% sure this Note is going back and I'll just hold out for the 6s+. But I had to give it a go. The Note 5 is a gorgeous phone with some killer features that I really wish Apple would adopt.

Yeah, GarageBand is closer to 750MB but doesn't come preinstalled. The size of most of the stock apps probably wouldn't even total 200MB (mail, messages, clock, calendar, notes, reminders, iBooks, etc.) , but there might be a few exceptions. As far as the size of the actual operating system is concerned, I've read iOS9 is supposed to be leaner than ever and includes new ways for developers to reduce the size of apps with an "App Thinning" feature.

Try using a third party launcher I suggest Nova Launcher. It cleans up some of the touchwiz caos. ;)

Weird those big apps all came pre installed for me. Maybe it's a Canadian provider/Apple thing. But I now remember being able to delete them at least.

Still nothing about my phone even being shipped. All I got was an email saying your order will ship shortly.
