I would agree. I downloaded the Bank of America app this morning to "deposit" some checks. Noticeably faster than the iPhone. I'm not keeping the Edge phone. We're too much into the iOS ecosystem it would be nice if the 6S and 6S+ come with more RAM...
I wouldn't do the switch either for the same exact reason. The Apple ecosystem.. I would miss it terribly if I switched. But PLEASE more ram! I'm confident the new iPhones will have at least 2 GB of ram. Let's see.

I just found out I can make intl calling with the sim samsung provided in my case Verizon, I wonder who is going to pay for that. :p

This has been my first day using the Note without my 6 Plus along for the ride, and I don't miss it. I keep finding things I like; I love is that the apps scale properly. Everything isn't just blown up to 125% like it is on the 6 Plus... the apps make intelligent use of the extra resolution.

The one achilles heel to me is the lack of system wide audio controls like iOS has. I can trust that from any screen on my iPhone I can bring up the notification bar and that the audio controls will be in the same place each time. Not so here. Also, Every audio app responds to the RW/Play/FF buttons on my car's headunit differently. None stop playing when I turn the headunit off. Some transmit track information, others don't. Very annoying, but not a deal breaker.

Alright after about 24 hours - These are my thoughts about the S6edge+

Overall, its not bad. Android is definitely the bottleneck of the device. With that being said, I have noticed major issues with touch screen sensitivity and recognition. I have to click the same spots 3-4 times for the screen to respond, and I need to swipe down from the top 2-3 times for it to work at all. Extremely annoying.

Device is constantly hot, both when charging and when not charging, with minimal usage.

Screen is absolutely gorgeous.. Indoors. As soon as you take it outside, it is completely washed out. Colors are a bit over saturated, but its extremely vibrant.

Phone is a little large for me personally. The main reason why I did this was to see if I want a 6s+ or just a 6s. I feel the 6s is a good size for me. The bigger screen is nice, but it is a hassle to carry around.

Edge display is kind of gimmicky. I do like the nighttime mode with the time, temp and power level on the side of the screen. Very easy to look at, but other than that I see no use of the edge.

For being a high-grade material phone, it feels really cheap. I don't know if its because the back is the world's thinnest glass and thats what I'm touching the majority of the time, or if its the thinness, but I feel like I could snap it.

Battery life isn't that great. I know I have been using it a lot, but I got about 7 hours of usage yesterday. I can easily pull 8 hours on my iPhone 6 running iOS9. I know the Samsung has a larger screen, but its battery is almost twice the size as the iPhone 6.

Camera is absolute crap IMO. I took plenty of test shots between the Samsung and my iPhone 6. The Samsung's photos are more vibrant and more colorful without a doubt, but as soon as you start to zoom in, its blurry. iPhone on the other hand, wasn't blurry at all. I took about 10 photos with each device, and it was the same result every single time. I don't know if its a faulty camera, but this 16MP camera makes my 8MP camera look amazing.

Overall, by no means would I ever make the switch, but it was nice getting to use Samsung/Android. I constantly rag on it, and its not as bad as what I expected (its been completely updated), but nothing compared to my iPhone. My screen is responsive, doesn't run hot and battery is much better.
calling the camera crap kinda invalidated your whole opinion, you are simply looking for ways to slag it off, and are now resorting to blatant lies..

Excuse me? Do you have my device in your hands? How are you so sure I don't have a defective device?

I even mention in my post that I have ragged on Samsung and Andriod but I still went in with an open mind and gave it a shot. I also stated its not as bad as what I thought. So I don't appreciate you coming in here telling me that I am resorting to blatant lies when you don't have a clue if in fact I got a defective product. Which By the way, I have contacted Samsung and they are trying to see if they can ship me another phone without me having to wait for more to come back in stock. So clearly I must have an issue.

You definitely got a defective device. I mean, just look at the differences.

Yeah..My photos look nothing like that.

I'm aware there has to be an issue and Samsung agrees. My photos are very bright and colorful compared to the iPhone but as soon as you start to zoom in, things get incredibly blurry. The fact that I'm being called a liar is unbelievable. There is no basis for that and there is no benefit for me to lie. I wrote an opinion piece based on MY experiences.

Hail Hydra!

But seriously, yeah and if I can't get a replacement oh well. The point of the device was for me to experience Samsung and a bigger screen. I won't die not knowing what the camera is like. I can go to Best Buy and try it out if it comes to that.

You admit to ragging on Samsung and android with no prior knowledge of them, how good or bad they are.. Just blind Apple fanism meaning you automatically have to pull down the opposition no matter what.. So when you Slag off the best mobile camera ever made.. What do you think folk are gonna think about your opinions..

Now where did I say I have no prior knowledge. I've used Andriod but a couple years ago. Things are obviously more refined now than then. The fact that you keep making assumption after assumption is awful. You keep assuming there is nothing wrong with my device and I'm making excuses, but you have absolutely no idea, now do you? I didn't realize you were using the same exact device as me. I truly must be blind, because I haven't noticed you sitting next to me.

I am completely open minded when it comes to technology. I may prefer Apple but that means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. I still use Windows side by side with my Macs. I have no reason to drag down the opposition and the fact that you think I'm just a typical fanboy is disrespectful, because you truly don't know the experience I am having.

BTW, read some posts after my original post. I'm not the only one experiencing this. Therefore that now invalidates your opinion about MY experience.

PS. I love how in the other thread about the Test Drive Review you tell people to be honest and if they "think" it's bad that's okay but as long as people are honest and back it up. I'm clearly being honest but you think I'm lying. I've taken plenty of photos to rule out user error, therefore I am backing up my claim that it's a bad camera based on the fact it's most likely defective and this is MY experience with the device in MY hand.

Anyone else getting phone calls from local Samsung reps asking if you are ready to make the switch. I've received two calls in the past two days and I'm annoyed. I'll send the device back now if the calls stop!

I got one call to ask how everything was going and if i needed anything...they sure are very nice when they want you to keep an $800 phone. Planning on sending mine back mid next week after the keynote.

Yeah, my two reps were super pushy. Are you ready to make the switch? What device do you want do you want to switch to? Have you already transferred all of your content to your new device? I was like hold up, I've had the device for 6 days, I've had an iPhone for 7 years, you really think its thats easy??

Sounds like it might be a good idea to just let those calls go to voicemail and send it back without telling them. I really do like the phone though, but it's really hard to leave when you have a macbook air, apple tv, ipad, etc..

Got another one while working. Went to voicemail. "How are you liking your Samsung test drive? Give us a call back discuss how to switch." This is crap. This was not part of the T/Cs. It said you had to subscribe to email not be bothered via phone.

They called and left a voicemail for me too. They introduced me to a new feature.....Auto Reject Call List.

I get why you're annoyed. On the flip side - you're getting to use an $800 phone. For $1. For 30 days. I think that does entitled them to check in with you to see how things are going and market to you.

No it doesn't. I didn't sign up to get phone calls about the phone everyday. We are doing them a favor by testing these phones out and providing feedback in the end. They are trying to convince us to switch not the other way around.

This. The terms and conditions specifically state email, not phone calls. I did not agree to this therefore they are breaching their end of the contract.

You're doing them a favor? Ok. How about at least admitting that it's at least (hopefully) a win-win for both sides.

This. The terms and conditions specifically state email, not phone calls. I did not agree to this therefore they are breaching their end of the contract.

I don't think calling is a breach of their contract. Did they explicitly say in the contract that they will NOT call you? Also - if you don't want any more calls from them - all you need to say to opt out is "I do not wished to be called again. Please take me off your call list." And then if they call again, you can try and take action. It's not an easy thing to "win" - but you can at least try and have legal footing.

As I said - I can understand why you don't want or like to be called. But I can't really believe you're surprised.

Also - let me ask you this - because I honestly don't know how they are working this deal. Is it your phone number they are calling you on, or one they provided for the test. Honestly curious. Because if it's the latter - then they really do have a right since it's technically their number.
