Right on...you should try the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus...it's an excellent phone.
Yeah that's what I ordered. Looks like a cool phone. I'm open to new things even though I've had an iPhone since the first one came out. Would be tough to transition.

The transition is a lot easier than it seems. I use my phone and sync it with all my Mac computers just as easy. I had the iPhone since the beginning, but it's just too basic for my needs. If you game a lot you'll definitely will want the Galaxy line such as the S6 Edge+.

Keep us updated with how you like it.

Since I have and love the Apple Watch and love my 6 Plus I don't see me switching but will be fun to mess with it and see how far it's come since the Galaxy S2 I had years ago lol

Oh for sure. It's light years ahead of the old Galaxy S2. I remember them days lol...

Have you seen the new Samsung Gear s2 watch? Or the LG "urbane" line of watches? Absolutely stunning...

Got the Samsung today. I've used it a few hours and there are some things I like and others I hate.
Pros:
Nice screen
Widgets are cool
Edge shortcuts are kinda nice
I like the numbers on top of keyboard

Cons:
Scrolling in apps sucks. Too choppy and it's annoying. This alone would prevent me from switching.
No iMessages
No tweetbot
No Overcast for my podcasts
I don't like how it feels in my hand. Probably would be better with a case though.
No 3D Touch- I really like it now that I'm used to it. Especially on the keyboard to select and highlight.
The screen seems too sensitive, I accidentally tap things all the time.

I'll update again after further use, but as of right now there no chance I'll switch. I'm just too used to iPhone and using iCloud. Transferring would be a pain.

Mine delivers tomorrow, so I am anxious to play with it. My wife thinks its a waste of time for me to get this to play with it, I told her its $1, and I am a guy... Who doesnt love a chance to play with very expensive stuff for 30 days for a $1 haha

I've got a Pebble Time Steel which would actually work better with Android. Haven't tried connecting it yet.

I got mine today, so far it's fun to play around with it. I forgot how much I loved the Live Wallpaper and true on screen widgets that I struggle to see why Apple doesn't allow still, I will enjoy playing around with this for 29 more days :)

I left mine unplugged overnight and it was dead in the morning. Pretty terrible standby battery. I really want to like it, but so far I'm far happier with my iPhone.

Hmm you might have a defective phone, you might want to report that to them else they might charge you upon returning that device.

If the phone has no physical or water damage I see no reason to charge the user. If it's anything other than that then it's clearly a manufacturer defect. That would be a great way to really solidify my opinion that Android and Samsung suck! I've had problems with iPhones beyond the 2 year Apple Care plan and they still fixed them for free. Never had a problem getting anything fixed on Apple products.

What's a defective phone issue got to do with the OS?

Lol that's exactly what I was thinking. Typical Apple fan boy comment. Makes us look bad.

I think he missed the memo that our phones are practically Samsung and LG made.

CPU A#-Series - Samsung
MEMORY - Samsung
Board and controller components - Samsung
Battery Cell - Samsung
RETINA IPS - LG and/or Sharp (which Samsung owns a big chunk of Sharp.)

Samsung will be making all of Apples next A9 chips for Apple LOL....

So technically and realistically the iPhone and iPad are...

Powered by Samsung...

Literally...

SMH... such childish comments by Apple fan boys make me laugh as the ignorance and arrogance combined is enough to call it comedy.

Oh and the touch screen technology for Apple was also originally developed by a fellow S.Korean genius. This technology also was sold to the US military for the advancement of our weaponry. (Apple fan boys if you didn't know US and SK are brothers.)

Anyhow...such ignorant comments like, "I hate Samsung" is saying that you hate the iPhone that you're using lol....

Great stuff. I'm with you on that. I like my iPhone, but it's very limited compared to my Note 4. The customization alone speaks volume.

iOS is like OSX. Clean, straight forward, simplistic and very proprietary. It just works.

Android is like Linux. Clean, straight forward, customizable with a lot of freedom. Able to configure it to your liking.

Haha...none of this matters if wifey isn't happy..."$1 hobby is quite amazing for a near $1000 phone." - That's your get out of jail free card lol

It's seemless to be able to enjoy both eco-systems as I connect my Note 4 just as easily to my iMac or MBPr as my iPhone. There are apps that make it a breeze.

First off my comment that Samsung and Android sucks was a joke. The test drive is a way to show iPhone users how great their products can be. My point was if they blame me for a battery problem that wasn't my fault it would not make me want to go with them for my phone company.

You sound to be a Samsung fan boy and went out of your way to make ignorant comments and quote me with things I never said like "I hate Samsung". Which I don't, I have plenty of Samsung products including TVs, washer and dryer and who knows what else.

The main reason I stick with Apple is because it's what I know. I've been using Apple products since I was a kid on a ****** Macintosh. My first laptop was a PowerBook, first smart phone was an iPhone. I'm too invested in their ecosystem to switch over.

There are things I really like about android. Like I said earlier I really WANTED to want to switch to an android device. I like change and new things, but I can't convince myself to switch. I like that all my Apple products talk to each other and work so well together. I've honestly never had a bad experience with any Apple product so why switch?

I originally was posting just to share my thoughts on the difference between the two. Didn't mean to turn it into a brand fight. At the end of the day I use what I like and couldn't care less what others think.

And if this screen technology was sold to the military I sure has hell never saw it. All the damn screens in the military are garbage. Everything is made by the lowest bidder and it shows. Spent 6 years in and majority of our time was spent fixing ****.

Fair enough. No pun intended. My comment was more general than anything. I appreciate you replying back.

Like you, I own Samsung fridges, washer and dryer and TV's. I have just as much Apple products as well...iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad, iPod, Apple TV, Cinema Display and an Apple water bottle. (J/K...it's my Nalgene bottle with an apple sticker so I pick it out from the crowd of other Nalgene bottles.)

I understand the difficulty of breaking away from the ecosystem...the good news is that there are options to make it all play nicely, beside those things that are proprietary to Apple.

The touch screen digitizer technology went mostly to planes and tanks. That's 'gotta' be pretty bad*** stuff to be able just tap and play....it's like a darn video game...but real life ****.

Anyhow, despite the tech talk....thanks for serving. At the end of the day, that's what matters most which makes it possible for us to even be able to play with gadgets and to shoot the bull together about technology...

Cheers
