My concern for Apple is, the longer iPhone users choose to keep their devices, the more reason they have to consider other options. Also, a user who usually keeps a device for years doesn't feel trapped enough to upgrade to a new iPhone. They just use it for what is. If one of these Samsung phones fancy their eyes and needs, they just might make the move.

I have no hate for Samsung. Owned Galaxy’s and liked them. Think their flips/folders are overpriced for the lack of durability. We’ll see if the Z Flip can produce better pics and how the battery life does this time round.

Just hope Apple stays away from folding phones.
Never once had an issue with durability on my Motorola Razr flip phones. They lasted for many years. Those had a hinge though.

My aunt bought a basic Samsung Galaxy A13 recently, which FORCED (no option to opt out) the install of the 'essential' app during setup...TikTok!

If that is typical Samsung I'll stick with Apple thanks!

What's the difference between being forced into an eco-system by Apple or being forced into an eco-system by Samsung?

Edit:
You also seem misinformed. See the next link from Samsung:

You can simply remove essentials by dragging it to the recycle bin. So it seems you can opt-out.

They are crushing it. In some ways, Apple is actually behind. Hilarious.

Love this company.
The Flip and Fold are “slightly” refined but the flip has a bigger battery. That’s it according to MKBHD. The Galaxy 5 also had a battery 30% bigger than the Flip. So what’s with that? That’s hardly crushing it. The screens are almost identical and the under screen selfie in the fold is as bad as last years. Crushing it 😂😂

I reckon I’ll wait until it gets done right with Apple if they decide it’s worth the investment to do it. If they don’t it’s because it’s still not up to standard. Which it’s clearly not at this stage. They can let Samsung keep crushing the overpriced niche market on double thickness phones.

With AirMessage's recent ability to incorporate FaceTime, I may give this one a shot until iPhone comes out with something a bit more innovative hardware wise.

Personally, the flip looks quite good, after all, you could fold between a phone and a tablet. But the flip looks more like an only flip phone, why would I want to flip my phone just to use it?

Korean food, yes.

Korean girls, yes.

K-pop, yes.

Korean martial arts, yes.

Korean phones…

Refinement is good only when apple does it. Got it.

Or better yet apple is so far behind that the are unable to make a competitive foldable smartphone vs Samsung anymore so they decide to stay away.

iPhone's phablet candy bar form is looking a little long in the tooth.
