It's a disgrace that Apple still sells an iMac with a 5400rpm hard disk
Someone needs to tell Apple that we're in the year 2020. 5400rpm hard disks shouldn't be in $1,100 computers.www.imore.com
i imagine to avoid law suits from idiots burning themselves as these drives generate SO MUCH HEATI have two Samsung T7 1 TB drives for ad hoc backups, copies and such, and am trying to understand why they need rubbers, (with ribs no less).
Don’t make excuses for it; Apple charges too much for SSD upgrade. That is just a fact.
What in the world are you on about? That article is referencing iMac being sold new, by Apple, on their website, in 2020.That’s from their refurbished site. Of course you didn’t mention that to put it in context.
I’ll tell you when I get past your vitriol. What do you think, troll?
the T7 is fine for casual users but it lacks DRAM and instead uses a SLC cache. Ive personally seen a massive performance issue that I attribute to this problem. Google it. Better off with Sandisk Extreme.
