The way you charge it is not a marvel LOL.
I use the attached dongle plugged into my iMac and charge it that way. It's at worse only marginally worse to charge than any other device I own. Even charging it by plugging it into the iPad may not be ideal, but it's a minor quibble with an otherwise marvelous device.

Silly nitpicking by Android apologists.

"On the bright side, we have an opportunity to nail down this issue and fix it before selling the phones to a massive audience, so they won’t have same complaints,” said a Samsung employee, speaking on condition of anonymity."

Oh ya sure... I guess since the public never got them, that should make the whole think less of an issue? Why must reviewers always be the Ginnie-pigs in all of this?

I think Samsung are just trying to downplay the damage over "we can keep doing it, as long as the public doesn't get them" (with exception to the "exploding battery")

No excuses over production. Mistakes happen, but you learn from mistakes. not just isolated to the particular device but through out.

That would be the worst thing they could do! If every company had that attitude we wouldn't be where we are today. Everything fails whether it's in public or in private labs, you take those failures learn from them and improve your product.
Every product needs field testing and that is why they give out the devices.
They should have rules, you are a Beta tester. If you find a problem, tell us, not the public and do not verbally trash the product until we hear from everyone and get the bugs you found out, then here, test again and again until it works perfectly.
