How is Samsung trying to "1 Up" Apple when they've had a "Pro Sized" tablet on the market for 2 YEARS now?? Jesus, how about a little objectivity and stop with the constant Samsung is copying apple garbage.

Obviously a tablet this size would not be used the same as a small, portable tablet. I don't think there is a huge market for this but it would be really useful for some applications.

I can see this as a nice, interactive kiosk in an airport, hospital or mall. It would be great for some kinds of engineering and display of scientific mapping data. It would be nice working with an architect or interior designer or contractor to sit in an office and explore designs and colors and styles interactively on a screen this size or even larger.

This would be nice to have at a trade show to use to explain the features of our scientific software to prospects. I'd want it mounted on some sort of balanced extending mount like the old lamp style iMac display.

So, clearly not a portable device but using iOS on a large screen could be really good.

I don't mind people laughing while I take photos using the 12.2 Note PRO. I don't think I can take photos using this thing.

Not to be outdone, Microsoft has this... (and I've used it at the MS Museum in Redmond):

This would actually be extremely useful in design and engineering fields. ...if it ran a full version of windows and we could get cad software on it.

Oh well.

I'd put one of those in my family room.

At that size, it would be especially cool if you could multi-task by having applications in windows facing different directions, along with multiple on-screen keyboards. This way, a few people could sit around the table, each running their own apps on that big surface.

Come to think of it, that would be totally awesome for a gaming event.

Of course they would. I've never even had a laptop that size. Insanity. I for one can't wait to go back down to the smaller iPhone size with the 6S. As for the iPad, I think Apple should Just simplify it down into two sizes: 8.5" and 11.5" or 9" and 12". 13" seems a bit on the large side for me. Make the regular iPad a little smaller and remove the Mini. But 18.4"?!?!?? Good luck with that.

Maybe this will shame Apple into releasing a 17 inch notebook. You know for those of us that work remotely and actually do more than Facebook, Twitter, and/or Reddit.

Because the 15" Retina is clearly not suitable for people that work remotely. Functionally it's definitely more for the Facebook, Twitter, Reddit crowd...

Lol, yeah... that pic looks realllllly appealing.
I'm sure most four person families want to try to use the same app on the same tablet at the same time.
*smh*

We gave our grandkids the air hockey pucks / game for their iPads. That's two at once.

it's easy to envision an active four person game using input along the edges of a larger tablet... such as virtual versions of a Simon competition or even Hungry Hippos.

Of course larger is also good for any sit around board games like Candyland, etc.
