When Samsung “forced them” to make the iPhone 6 it was a runaway best seller. Extrapolating that to the rumors of the iPhone foldable….

it looks like since 2011 apple have been playing catch up with Samsung in regards to mobile and the trifold

And eating Samsungs lunch while they are catching up.

i have already gone over why we don't have a foldable yet and why apple waited until 2026. supply is a massive issue and so is the display quailty. i certainly don't see apple releasing a foldable with a visable crease which is why the display in 2026 is said to remove this. granted fold 8 will use this same display

It might as well be 2007. Nokia came out with the first foldable phone in 2008. However in 1987 Kodak was responsible for the invention of oled. In 1992 Uniax Corp was responsible for flexible oled. Samsung was late to the party with foldables and Face ID. 👍 Face ID was disruptive.

Irrelevant regarding influence it’s not 2007 anymore we are now in a new decade where foldable’s and trifold’s are here not 3.5 inch touchscreen devices times have changed and it’s thanks to Samsung for pushing that change and it’s very simple how much ram is in an iPhone SE 2nd Generation that runs
IOS 26 and that will solidify my point in being forced to change thanks to Samsung
