Z fold 7 only just became valued as a good phone option this year for most people. They have had a flip by the side of the Z fold for a while now. So clearly having another foldable that was cheaper had zero impact on sales as sales have been poor until z fold 7.

why the change? as i just said durability , thickness and weight has improved alot. you can now put z fold in your pocket and not have any issues. nobody will care about the tri fold costing what it will and it sure as hell won't make more people buy a z fold. that price point has nothing to do with anything. people buying z fold is all down to it's improvements in it's form factor.

Apple uses a superior panel for their display and it's better than s25 ultra in terms of specs. s25 ultra has a superior anti reflective display though yes. apple uses 10bit where samsung uses 8bit and has worse brightness than iphone. granted samsung are getting a big display upgrade in s26 ultra but i'm talking right now.

what i said is correct apple are only releasing a foldable due to them finally being happy with the crease for a start. that part was clear previous models and displays didn't meet their standards and i'm not surprised. previous foldable creases were flat out bad. now it's finally at a stage where they are good enough for apple. if reports are correct the crease will be as good as gone. that remains to be seen if it's accurate.

Z fold 7 is a great device but it finally sold well due to the form factor. It was eye catching as it was suddenly thin and made it seem like a normal phone. That's what made it sell well and got people's attention as they didn't upgrade the Cameras or the charging speed or the battery.

Samsung have made their foldables for years with little sales success but this year they got good praise and more people were buying them and that's purely down to the form factor not because they sell other foldables which may seem too high so we will buy this one

Rumours and speculation are different to actually seeing the product on display so
Apple doesn’t have a foldable and even if they did it’s because Samsung has forced them to make one just like bigger screen phones and oled panels on phones it looks like since 2011 apple have been playing catch up with Samsung in regards to mobile and the trifold
Solidify their position by making Apple improve their devices

You were correct yes but I meant where phones are sold that's on me for not being clear

Z fold 7 is a great device but it finally sold well due to the form factor. It was eye catching as it was suddenly thin and made it seem like a normal phone. That's what made it sell well and got people's attention as they didn't upgrade the Cameras or the charging speed or the battery.

Samsung have made their foldables for years with little sales success but this year they got good praise and more people were buying them and that's purely down to the form factor not because they sell other foldables which may seem too high so we will buy this one

Again that’s not the point regarding selling more because they currently only sell two models the flip & fold as of right now
So when the trifold gets released that will the be the dearest foldable that they sell & as a consequence of that Samsung will sell more of the mid tier fold because it will seem cheaper compared with the trifold
Plus as I’ve mentioned the reason why more individuals are purchasing the fold 7 is because of word of mouth from individuals who have purchased previous versions and that’s why it’s growing

With Al apple messed up badly that is true and they didn't expect Al to take over like it did. However even now Al is not having any impact on phone sales as iPhone 17 series has shown

Apple thought they could use their own in house models but if they can it will take them ages to dis so and why they are going with Gemini models. They should've done what Samsung did and go with Gemini from day 1

We will see in 2026 if the new Siri is up to the mark with other brands out there.
