As a Nexus 7 owner I can say that software buttons have advantages, but they are just not compatible with the presence of TouchID, that I consider a primary feature of the iPhone. I also like the capacitive buttons of my Lumia: they are a good compromise between soft and physical.

I have big hands, anything that requires finesse is beyond me.

Good thing I'm a game developer and play brass instruments. Career and Musical Hobby taken care of. :apple:

Android w/ Dalvik runtime is problematic, but maybe Android L w/ ART will finally be the one. Funny thing, I find Android to be more Mac-like than iOS, except for stability. If they fix the stability, then the only reason I have to go iOS is to more easily sync to my Mac.

Android is about power and versatility, just like a Mac. A user adapts Android to his needs, exactly like a Mac. iOS is the complete opposite, which works for me on a phone but definitely not a tablet. I also take issue with the glacial pace of iOS improvements. Back in it's day, OS X piled on features every 18 months, yet all iOS manages for YEARS is a new theme and notifications. It's still missing a right swipe screen, what's up with that? Prime real estate left empty. No GUI design sense at all on that iOS team...

I'd agree with those statements. iOS yearly updates are quite slow but perhaps that is why it's more stable vs the competition.

The iteration that's coming between iOS 8 and Yosmite is going to be bloody awesome! Tots pumped for it.

I really hope they don't go any thinner. This nonsense of making something super thin is driving me crazy. How about working on those fat bezels?
I totally agree - shave off some of the bezels, keep the thickness and give us a bump in battery capacity please.

I think a noticeble increase in battery capacity would be considered way more important both to users and in reviews than being 1mm thinner than the previous version. Sadly we'll never know - the next version will be thinner anyway.

People the problem is that you feel you have to compromise, or give some thing up in order to gain. "Give me the 5/5s size with a better battery life". If Apple already achieve making a thinner phone which is an advancement in tech, why would they go back and make it thicker. What Apple should do is work on battery advancement. Find a way to make the battery smaller while giving more power. Trust me with the money and resources that Apple has in this day and age they can do it. Don't be satisfied with the minimal increases every year. I think people are forgetting how much money apple has to put into research and development, billions.

Advancement should not be stopped for the few people that say "my hands are too big". Too big for the 6 plus? If that's the problem get a case simple. We need to keep pushing the envelope, keep making it as thin as possible, keep making the camera better, keep making the battery better. You should never have to settle

small portion? i think that 100% of users would like more battery life.

Sure everyone would like more battery life, if no sacrifice on any other aspects. Making the phone significantly thicker and heavier for that purpose is against most customers' preferences, though.

The thickness of the 5/5S is not significant. If they would have kept the same thickness and were able to add more battery life I think more people would be happy vs. those who would be disappointed.
