I will do that too, I can't speak for him, but I don't watch movies or game....so I guess it won't make any difference in emails or iMessages and i would get better battery life....just a personal preference.
In favor of better battery life. My phone is smooth enough already.
Exactly. It just keeps dropping where I live anyway.
Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxid, or LTPO, is an OLED display backplane technology developed by Apple.
Samsung phones are not fully manufactured by Samsung.
The processor, modem, sensors are made by Qualcomm & the software is made by Google.
And samsung can't even make a proper smartphone. 😂 same old story every year, exynos lag heat gate, camera issues, laggy os, bloat galore. And people Dis Samsung Galaxy Phones.
Their Apple iPhone is Largely Samsung Technology.
FUNNY. So Funny.
On the iPad Pro, the 120hz makes a difference for games and when using the Pencil (improved latency).Unless these new displays help increase battery life, who cares of they can swipe up and down fast and remain stutter-free? That seems to be the only thing any tech reviewer / YouTuber does to show how beneficial 120Hz refresh is. Does it help when reading an email? Or watching a video or movie, or looking at News or reading MacRumors forums?
I certainly don’t see the benefit on my iPad Pro, which is what I’m writing this on now. I think other brands hyped up 120Hz refresh because they didn’t have much else to offer AND with Android being far less smooth in normal operation, it helped mask some of the stuttering.
5000 mAh battery, 15 hours usage. 🤤🤤🤤 I know I'm dreaming, most likely be closer to 4000 mAh 🤦♂️😂LTPO should mean battery life should be no different than it is now one the pro models. The iPhones this year will also have likely bigger batteries.
These damn phones are already so good, they are struggling with ideas to make them better. Can't image the benefits of 120Hz are that amazing. The iPhone screen is just so good with great color accuracy, crisp retina resolution, infinite contrast and already smooth refresh rate with "only" 60Hz. They are really grasping as straws trying to make it better.
You will actually notice it most in e-Mails. It's immediately obvious that with 120 Hz, you can actually read the text as you swipe or scroll across the screen. On normal displays, it either gets blurry or it jumps too many pixels every frame. With 120 Hz you can actually read it as it moves by.I will do that too, I can't speak for him, but I don't watch movies or game....so I guess it won't make any difference in emails or iMessages and i would get better battery life....just a personal preference.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Apple has been using Samsung tech in every iPhone since the first. This is probably not going to be successful. Apple doesn't trust Samsung that well. They have to first make sure it’s safe then make sure it will actually work.
"will feature faster 120Hz refresh rates, enabling iPad Pro-like ProMotion technology"
Except there's no such thing as pro motion technology. Pro motion is just a marketing term for a refresh rate.
It's not a new tech for Samsung. They started using it in their phones last year. I assume that Apple had a chance to evaluate the panels by now. It's literally baking the bread in the oven and serving it hot. Will Apple have enough time to test and certify these displays?

It also has a benefit if you draw on your iPad.I certainly don’t see the benefit on my iPad Pro, which is what I’m writing this on now.

Just scroll through a bunch of thumbnails in the Photos app to see how horrible our current 60hz refresh rates truly are. It's like staring at a freaking strobe light. Personally it bugs the badoodles out of my eyes.
Then scroll through the photos app thumbnails with a 120hz display - it scrolls like ruby on rails. Way way better and way easier on the eyes
well if you had ever touched a phone with 120 hz you would not writing these things so you should cut the crap...I am not even going to talk about gaming experience with 120hz...I bet the vast majority, if they were not told anything about 120hz refresh would never even know or see any difference. Especially at that size screen, I bet that most...not all that say they see and amazing difference are full of crap. Just like the people that claim to hear the difference in $600 RCA cables.
On MR, a lot of people have already determined that they can no longer use the new iPhone without 120Hz. It's not really about practicality around here as it is about a lot of people chasing tech to stay they have the latest.Unless these new displays help increase battery life, who cares of they can swipe up and down fast and remain stutter-free?
