Are you saying that a day after the 2 year release point, the s8 ceases to function? Web browser shuts down, camera stops working? Cant send texts.. is that what you are getting at? Or.... does it carry on as it has done for the last 2 years... right as rain doing its thing.. regardless of what you think?
Indeed. What a deeply confused understanding of phone valuation. The S8 was and is a great phone for almost anyone. Why would someone buy a phone they can't enjoy until they get a new OS some years in the future anyway?

My apologies, I didn't realize that security/system updates ending after two years was considered a feature amongst Samsung owners.

What on earth are you on about man, nonone said that, we merely stated that the day after an os update hasnt arrived, doesn't mean the phone is useless as you are implying...

I will say that we have each made our own beds.

We are iPhone users because we value the benefits of the Apple ecosystem and don't really need or miss what we don't get compared to the competition. Conversely, other people are android phone users precisely because they value the extra features that android has over iOS. They probably see long-term software support the same way we view the utility of being able to place our app icons anywhere on the home screen, and that's just the way it is.

Neither side is wrong, IMO.

Exactly.

I'm an iPhone user... who uses Windows on PCs... and my entire digital life is on Google services.

I'm a master of ALL platforms! :p
