Lol waited an hour and a half at a Genius Bar....for what? Unless he didn’t have an appointment and just walked in, OR he sat there while they completed his repair (on an Apple device, nice), then I call bologna.

Sure, there are complex issues that can take a long time and there are those that have had bad Genius Bar experiences, but in my experience those are few and far between. They have so many appointments to get to, that they have to work quickly and diligently.

Read that iPhone failed more (software and hardware) than equivalent Android. No wonder genius bars are always so busy.

Samsung Electronics America VP of design Mick McConnell tells Fast Company that he came up with the idea while waiting for an hour and a half at a Genius Bar at an Apple retail location.

Bullsh-t. Apple only accepts appointments at the Genius bar and they are 15min slots. If he waiting that long, he didn't have an appointment in the first place. Sounds like he's in the marketing business as well, trying to paint a negative picture of the genius bar to prop up Sammy's version.

If it means owners of Samsung products receive fast repairs, replacements or refunds - that is good. Everyone should have Apple level customer service for computer devices.

Now if Apple would work on QC in software and hardware again, that would be most welcome.

What? All Apple stores I know will just flat out turn you away if you haven’t made an appointment, you don’t even get the option to wait.

Yes, if I walk-in they essentially create an appointment for me by adding me to the list and then I can wait or get a call when they are ready for me, allowing me to shop around the mall or get lunch or whatever. Here is an article about it:

Perhaps your store is just too congested and all appointment slots are essentially taken, leaving nothing behind for walk-ins. That does occur at my area stores too, but only if I try to walk in a few hours before they close.

Yelp and google reviews for many of the stores around here would lead me to believe they do exist.

If there were a store that existed for the sole purpose of handing out free money, given to you by a smoking hot female with a kiss, and you are given free beers while waiting in line... people would still find a reason to complain.

Ah that very much explains it, thank you for responding to me. The last time I checked genius appointments at the stores I’m thinking about they were about a week out if you were trying to get a phone fixed.

Only beer? No hard liquor?

But what if I don’t like beer? They should serve seltzer waters too for people like me!!!!!
