But don't they sacrifice sales of the S8 now, for people that might have wanted that but are now waiting? To see what thing may bring.
Not that I'm an authority, but Samsung sales typically don't work like that. Note people are Note people and S people are S people. 'Noters' tend to buy Notes to the exclusion of all other Sammy's. Galaxy S people tend to buy what they want to buy when they want to buy it.

Hmm fair point. Guess I never really thought of it like that. Last year just changed everything because the lack of a Note.

Doesn't matter how good phone is android still sucks

See, I don't really think this is a fair comment and nor did you choose to expand on it besides posting it "Sucks", which your certainly entitled to your opinion. And this is coming from somebody who has an iPhone user and is heavily invested in to iOS. I see both sides of the spectrum.

Android has come along way and certainly isn't what it used to be with lag and issues with the OS. Android still has its differences from iOS, but to say it "Sucks" is really short sighting your post without any real substance.

I'd say this is correct, only because my brother loves his Notes, and loved his Note 7 (before he had to turn it in). He always got defensive and corrected me back when I confused his Notes with the S phones. :D

Note users are a different type than S users.

One thing that the s8 will have: a stunning screen.

I love the camera with optical stabilization in my s7, love the screen, love wireless charging, love the heart rate sensor and step counter.

I hate everything else.

Ha! I can believe it. In my office, the only people more annoying than the Note people are the SE people... but not by much.:p:D

So, so happy I only go into the office 1-2 days a week.:)

Always preferred the Note over the S. Samsung usually gives the Note more features that end up on the next S series, being 6 months trailing the S. Had a Note 2, then a 4, still rocking a Note 5 almost two years later. Shocking for me to stick with it for 2 years, as I was tempted by the Note 7, IPhone 7 and +, then the S8 in the last year. Some good phones like the OP5 and even HTC U11 are out there too, but I’ve resisted the urge this long, I can wait another 2 months or so.

Just fixed up an IPhone 5 that had it screen broke that the wife had,so have that as a backup and smaller form factor IPhone if I make the switch.

As for the Note 5, the Exonoys in that can still keep up with the S8, according to some online vids. Day to day use I have no issues with lag or anything else.

Good for the dual camera, on the Note 8, shame about still the finger print thing but Apple looks to still be having issues there too. Not a huge fan of the skinnier and longer screen, and am using less and less of S pen, so we will see.

Wireless charging I don’t use yet but the fast charge is fantastic, and the screen is top notch and will be again.

Tried to switch to IPhone (have an iPad 10.5) a couple times but the hardware (Oled) keeps bringing me back to my Note, along with being in the Google Ecosystem, which just works better on Android. We will see how Apple presents the IPhone 8, but it is time to move on from the Note 5 after 2 years and keep it as a backup, just a matter of Note 8 or IPhone 8. If Apple nails the hardware and the screen is as good as the Note (should be) and Apple puts a dark mode in final Ios11 to take advantage of Oled, I may finally make the final plunge. But if it seems like a compromise due to not getting some things in time into the phone, and like one is a beta tester on the new hardware, may have to wait for the IPhone 9.

Stoked! Can't wait to see what Samsung brings to the table. Their hardware design is top notch, and they FINALLY have really started buckling down on making TouchWiz less of a laggy mess. This is gonna be a beauty of a phone.

Me too. I have a S8 and an iPad Pro. But, neither IOS or Android seems superior to me. Same when comparing Windows to MacOS.

I don’t disagree with you, but there are so many advantages to using the same operating system among all one’s devices, that I no longer want to mix and match. Apple is doing a great job of ecosystem “lock-in” and I admit I’m a great example. But, it all works and works well so I’m not complaining.

Same. I can't stand the curved screen. Just for starters, it makes it pretty much impossible to use a glass screen protector (which I prefer over using a screen naked).

I did the test drive program and tried the S6 Edge and the curved screen just got in the way. You can't hold the device without covering the screen. I like some bezel.
Thankfully the curved screen is much less pronounced in the newer Galaxy phones. It's more akin to the glass on the sides of the iPhone, which I think is just right. Any chance you've had the opportunity to check out the S8 yet?
