He also said false claims. Considering they claimed this stuff does not bend is a false claim. We know that without even needing to test it.

Fine. Whatever. As if this stuff really matters. Personally I think too must tempest in a pot of tea.

Apple users that are "pissed off" (my words) because Samsung made claims or has the same issue as what was reported for the iPhone seem to be wasting their energy. It's not a personal afront.

And for several in this thread that posted commentary about being annoyed after "bendgate" when people asked if their phone is bent need to relax. What's the big deal. Really? The answer is a simply "no - and I don't expect it to." How this question is annoying or somehow offensive only leads me to believe that the poster(s) are insecure. That's my observation and .02

I have both an iPhone 5 (not 6 yet) and Samsung S4. Both are great phones. Both have their faults and superior aspects. They work for me and my needs. That's all that matters. Don't really care who "hates" on me or "loves" on me because we share the same taste in phones or OSes.

Has anyone actually reported bending while having the phone in a pocket? The squaretrade test is a cheap stunt for blogs and views. Who would subject their phones to that type of test.

But they're quite relevant when manufacturing those chips for Apple products, aren't they?

Yet Apple needs Samsung's chips for just about every product they make...

Sounds pretty relevant to me. Just saying.

Samsung has a good foundry. They are Apple's chips, not Samsung's. Or do you tell people you drive a Delphi?

Apple can and has used other manufacturers, like TSMC. They could go to Intel if they wanted. Instead, they have chosen Samsung because they have proven to be a reliable supplier. It's a different division from the one that makes the Galaxy. Heck, Samsung Mobile is treated the same as an external customer like Apple by Samsung's chip division.

Bending issues are really not an issue for both brands. Not sure why your getting upset over other people getting upset over it. You will always have the extreme statements on both sides.

Some people are simply stating Samsung is constantly contradicting itself over the same issues it says iPhone users have. From non-removable batteries, no MicroSD slots to having headphone jack on the bottom. Now the bending issue. It does not really have to do with the quality of either phone.

Since many believe bendgate doesn't exist or is limited to such a small amount it doesn't matter. Then it doesn't matter across the board - whether it's Apple, Samsung, HTC, Motorola, etc.

I saw a guy at the Apple Store last week that had a bent iPhone 6 Plus. Just because he didn't post it on the internet, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I'd like to use your post as a rebuttal when people insist that Samsung has inside knowledge because they make Apple's chips ;)

Who said I'm upset? I find it funny. Every company contradicts each other. It's hardly news. Apple said they would never make a different size iPad. That no one reads, so no bookstore. 3.5 then 4" phones were perfect.

Times change. And CEOs and other representatives of their respective companies say what needs to be said to position their products as superior. Again - not news, nor should it surprise anyone (or upset anyone).

All silly.

I don't think Apple was ready for smaller tablet or larger phones until usability hurdles were overcome.

Apple seemed to be against using two hands on a larger phone to be able to use it. So coming up with "Reachability" to allow screen to pull down to reach all areas with one thumb. A smaller tablet, I think they knew going to a 16:9 screen was not ideal for a tablet screen size. Plus not wanting to keep on giving developers yet another screen size, resolution to deal with.

So Apple tends to take years to decide to do changes.

Samsung however often do multiple changes, often just a response to competitors without thinking it out first. One year denouncing certain aspects of a competitors product with the very next phone with the same attributes.

None of what you said is germane to the conversation. The fact is - all companies position their products as superior to the competition. Often this is done in comparison or knocking the competition overtly or subtly.

Very interesting kind of denial.
Now a calibrated machine isn't the point, while a bunch of complainers on the web are.
Lol :D

Man i already clarified that, the thread title is wrong, the video is testing the galaxy s6 edge, not the normal Galaxy S6.

At the risk of sounding like a smart-aleck, Apple fanboy, I'm going to say this won't be "bendgate 2" because, frankly, nobody's expectations about Samsung are that high. The problem with Apple making a misstep (whether real or perceived) is that the bar for quality has been set high by them. They've set their customers' expectations very high. So, people notice when Apple screws up. Nobody really cares when Samsung does.

Something else to add to the "bent list":

#1 Bent truths

#2 Bent management

#3 Bent phones <---

You know full well that Samsung will reference their curved designs, and call this "a feature":

Some people are so full of **** in their wannabe "neutrality". It's hilarious.

Personally - I think some people are actually neutral but for some reason are seen as not by people who can't open their minds to the possibility that they have an opinion that is not in alignment with yours.
